Hi there. I am using the Sneakers Demo. I have successfully disabled Breadcrumbs for each Page. But for the Shop Page it still shows Breadcrumbs. My settings are:

    1. XStore -> Theme Options -> Breadcrumbs -> Style: Disable
    2. In the Shops Page i have also disabled Breadcrumbs (see attached JPG).

Why are they still shown on the Shop Page?

Hi. Thank you, that works. Is it possible that the Option “Use custom banner above breadcrumbs” does not work for the “Product Archive” Page? See attached image. This works for me for every other page, i disable Breadcrumbs in the Page’s XStore Settings and add my Top Background Image.

Thanks for your reply. My problem is that i am still using my development site, which is not reachable from the outside. It seems like for the Shop Page, for whatever setting i do, its just being ignored. Even if i enable breadcrumbs or choose an other Static Block to be displayed above breadcrumbs – ignored.
Could you imaging what would cause this? What settings i should check, a brief description and i’ll get along…

    Hello, Ralf E,

Please try to add an Archive description element to the desired section of your page layout via Archive Products Builder.

To assist you more effectively, we kindly request that you record a video demonstrating the issue and the steps leading to it. This will help us better understand and replicate the problem on our end.
Upload the video on a filesharing service, for example – https://wetransfer.com/ , and provide us with the URL.

    Best Regards,
    8Theme’s Team

Hi again Alex, thank you for your top-notch support. I have created a video that you can find in the private area.
As you can see in the Video, on the “Contact Us” page the Header Menu has a black background, while the “Shop” Page is missing the black background. Though both use the same Static Block which i named “TopBackgroundContact”.
When adding an “Archive Description” it works, it fits behind the Header just like the static block should do. This could be a workaround, to add that TopBackground directly in the page. Though it should work just like for other pages if you ask me…
Thanks again for your support. Really thankful for any hint what could cause this.

    Please contact administrator
    for this information.

Thank you Alex Carter for your great support. I have solved this issue by using Conditions on Headers. I have created an other Header, which includes the background image and is not transparent. On the frontpage i use the transparent one (what i want) and on all other pages i use the one with the background included. This way, i no longer have to use the setting/option “Use custom banner above breadcrumbs”.
Though it would be interresting why they don’t work for archive pages. But no need to solve it at this point, at least for me – but you might want to try yourself (in the sneaker demo), if you can use static blocks on the archive page…

    Thanks again!

    Hello,

We’re glad to hear that you were able to resolve the issue by using Conditions on Headers. Creating a separate header with a background image for all pages except the front page, where you use the transparent version, is indeed a smart and effective solution. It’s great to know that this approach allowed you to avoid using the “Use custom banner above breadcrumbs” option.

If you have any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. Our support team is always available to assist you.

    Best Regards,
    8Theme’s Team
