    When I go to Appearance > Customize. The Customizer never loads.

    Hello,

    Please check requirements described in the documentation https://www.8theme.com/demo/docs/royal/#!/installation_upgrade (“1.3 Requirements for Royal” section).
    Also, try to disable all 3-rd party plugins and check if the problem will be solved.
