Hi. I want my custom footer to show on my blog page like it does on all my other pages. I have selected it like I have done for all the other pages but it doesn’t show on the blog page. How can I make it visible on the blog page?
Thanks

Hi
My site is running on localhost and not on a live server so I unfortunately can’t do that. Perhaps you could try replicate the problem on your side? All I did was try select my custom footer for the blog page like I did with any other page but it doesn’t show up. I chose the grid layout in the theme options. If there is anything you would like to ask about my setup to help you then please do and I will give you all the info I can.
To create a blog page I went to Settings > Reading. I then chose the page I wanted for “posts page” i.e.: my page called “news”. However when I go to edit the news page and choose the custom footer from the drop down “Use custom footer for this page” the footer does not display. I am sure you will be able to recreate this problem if you try my steps.
Thanks!
Please update all plugins and theme to current versions from the https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/ and themeforest.net. I have recreated sittuation and all of the statc block which can be used for footer were displayed in dropdown list.

Hi. I have the latest version of the theme. Sorry, I think perhaps you misunderstand? My issue is not that the custom footer isn’t showing in the dropdown as it IS showing and I select it. But the custom footer itself doesn’t show up on the blog page, that is my problem.
Hello,
I’ve added Static Block widget in Footer 2 area in Appearance > Widgets and now footer is shown.
Please clear browser cache and check.

Superb! That worked perfectly, thanks so much. 🙂
