    Hi,

we tried several plugins to get a custom field for a product where we need the customer to enter a name for a personalized voucher … just simple text and no additional pricing, etc.

With all of the plugins we have to problem that the entered value is not accepted and we get the error message that the field info is required.

It is set to required, that is fine. But when when we enter the name it does not “recognize” out input?

The plugin devs asked us to talk to you.

Any idea, this is very important for us.

    Many thanks

    Hello,

Do you have this issue with our theme only? Have you checked if it works fine with default Storefront theme?

    What plugin do you use?
Provide me, please, link to product with problem, temporary admin panel and FTP access.

    Regards

Hello Olga, I have the same problem.

For me it is important to have extra fields so that the client can customize the product, with my previous theme the WC Fields Factory plugin worked perfect. Unfortunately I had to disable the plugin as it does not work.

Any idea or solution to this problem?
    Thanks in advance

    Hello, @Sami,

Could you describe me in details what issue do you have with that plugin? Theme was tested with https://woocommerce.com/products/product-add-ons/ plugin and we know that it works fine (Ajax add to cart option in Theme Options should be disabled). But we did not test theme with all the other similar plugins.

    Regards

Hi Olga, the Ajax add to cart option in Theme Options should be enabled, I have disabled it, and now the plugin works correctly.
    Thank you very much! 🙂

You are welcome! As a rule, such plugins use POST method that’s why plugins won’t work with Ajax add to cart.

    Hi again,

looks like it was the Ajax option that caused the problem. We turned it of and it works now. Many thanks so far.

New Problem, when we add a product to the cart now we have the following error message on the cart page now:

“Warning: Missing argument 3 for WCCF_WC_Cart::maybe_disable_quantity_change() in /home/.sites/435/site1386/web/dev/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce-custom-fields/includes/classes/wccf-wc-cart.class.php on line 521”

Also it takes much longer to load the checkout page now?

    Can you help with this?

    Many thanks.

    Hello,

If you check the error you can see that it’s related to plugin files. Please, contact plugin author to solve the issue.
