Custom “Fake Sales Pop-up” Location Data Not Saving – Reverts to Default on Reload

    Hello,

    I am experiencing an issue with the “Fake Sales Pop-up” feature included in the XStore theme.

    When I update the “Locations description” field with custom city and country values (e.g., cities in Turkey), I click the “Save Changes” button and receive a confirmation message that the changes have been saved. However:

    After closing and reopening the pop-up settings,

    Or after refreshing the page and opening the same settings again,

    the custom data is gone and the default location values are shown again.
    So, any changes I make to the locations list are not persistent — they reset to default every time.

    Here’s what I’ve already tried to resolve the issue:

    Cleared browser cache and cookies

    Disabled other plugins to rule out conflicts

    Tried on different browsers

    Ensured that XStore and WooCommerce are fully updated

    Despite these steps, the issue remains, and I am unable to permanently save the customized location data for the fake sales popup. A screenshot showing the problem is attached.

    Could you please investigate and let me know how to resolve this?

    Could you please provide temporary wp-admin and FTP access? We will check what can be done to help you.
    To grant WP-Admin access, please proceed to create a new user account with an administrator role through your WordPress Dashboard. Once the account is established, you may securely transmit the username and password to us via the Private Content section designated for this purpose.

    For FTP access, we require the following details: FTP host, FTP username, FTP password, FTP port, and FTP encryption type. If you need assistance in creating these credentials, please reach out to your hosting provider who will guide you through the process.

    Thank you for your response.

    Settings of Fake Sale Popup can be saved now. Please check.

    Found that the issue was caused by saving emojis. Save your locations without emoji, for example, https://prnt.sc/IQogaQrdJNsZ
    Also, contact your hosting provider and ask them to fix the DB field’s collation type that didn’t support all emoji. Probably it is set to utf8_general_ci.
    Solution: Change the field collation type to utf8mb4_general_ci to support longer-byte emoji.
