Hi,
I am trying to recreate RoyalMarriage homepage, except I want just images with each one linking through to the RSVP page.
I have created a custom ess grid but it does not show on the site?
Site URL: hidden Theme version: Royal 2.7Hello,
Such variants as Marriage, Street Photo were not included in theme import, due to using essential grid visual composer element, which should be imported separately.
I’ll explain you how to create such pages and you’ll be able to create them in no time.
How to create Marriage (or Street Photo) variants:
1. Go to Theme Options > Header > select 14 (or 13) type of header
2. Import Essential Grid as described in our documentation http://www.8theme.com/demo/docs/royal/index.html#!/essential_grid
3. Go to Pages > Add new. Use visual Composer and add Essential Grid element. Select Royal Marriage (or Grid 1). All Page Layout settings (Sidebar, footer, heading) should be disabled. Save page and set it as Front page in Settings > Reading.
Best regards,
Jack Richardson.
Hi Jack,
I have done this and it worked fine for the standard demo using the instructions from another thread.
However, I want the grid to be just photos (not linked to posts) but each photo to link to only one page of the site.
When I create the custom grid with the photos and link each photo, none of the images display on the site and it is just a white page. The demo content for Marriage works fine but I don’t want anything linked to posts, just plain images with a link attached.
Hello,
The same issue persists with default WordPress theme too. We recommend you to contact Ess. Grid authors via comments http://codecanyon.net/item/essential-grid-wordpress-plugin/7563340/comments to find what reason may be.
Best regards,
Jack Richardson.
Hello,
The issue with your custom essential grid is fixed. The problem was with alias name “D&T”, please don’t use special symbols in grid alias. I have renamed it to “DandT” and now it’s working fine. Please check.
Best regards,
Jack Richardson.
Thanks Jack! this is now fixed and working great.
Although, since this change, I now get this message when I go to any page of the site:
This page was unable to display a Google Maps element. Please contact the site administrator. If you are the administrator of this site, please check the JavaScript console or check the following page for troubleshooting: http://g.co/mapsJSApiErrors
I have updated the iframe source of the maps but still getting the message
Hello,
The issue is related to Ultimate VC Addons plugin. If you activate other theme you’ll get that notice too.
It’s discussed on their comments section http://codecanyon.net/item/ultimate-addons-for-visual-composer/6892199/comments http://prntscr.com/bmi59o
