Hi,
I am trying to configure cross-selling products but they don’t appear on the single page product when they do not belong to the same category.

What works:
– Up-selling works.
– Automatic Cross-selling works: show products that belong to the same category.

What does not work Yet :):
– Manual Cross-selling defined in woocommerce. For example, this product only shows up-selling products but not the cross-selling ones.

Hello,

Cross-sells are products that you promote in the cart, based on the current product.
Please read this article – https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/related-products-up-sells-and-cross-sells/
Available settings for related products you can find in Theme Options > Single product page > Related Products.
Location of upsell products can be changed in Theme Options > Single product page > Page Layout.

I understand the cross-sell product should appear on the cart page but it doesn’t.

Hello,

Related Products is a section on some templates that pulls products from your store that share the same tags or categories as the current product.
Up-sells are products that you recommend instead of the currently viewed product.
On this page https://bioterra.pt/loja/sementes/leguminosas/feijao-goldoral/ you can see up-sells products, there are no related products because Leguminosas category has only 1 product.
This page https://bioterra.pt/loja/sementes/horticolas/alcachofracynara-scolymus/ shows related products, but doesn’t show up-sells, because you did not set them – https://prnt.sc/otgmvi
It is the correct functionality, which comes from WooCommerce.
Cross-sells can’t be shown on the single product page, you can see them on the Cart page.

I understood everything except why the cross-selling products are not showing up in the cart page. (My previous mistake was considering that they would appear on the single product page)

I could say that it was cache issues on my side, but in reality, I was looking at the checkout page…. 🙂 shame on me
