    First question
I can’t get the transparent header to work and I’m not able to change the main background colors on the page. Is this something that an update will fix?

    Second question
I’m using the wootheme child theme and I wanted to know if I install your latest update will anything I’ve done be changed? If so could you tell me how to make it so nothing changes when I update the parent theme?

I’m new at all this and everything I read is getting confusing so I figured probably best to ask the people that made the theme.

    Hello,

Please provide us with wp-admin panel credentials in Private Content.

If you made changes only in child theme then they won’t be lost after theme update. How to update the theme correctly you can watch in this video tutorial:

(it’s for Legenda theme but the process is the same).

Don’t forget to create back up of your files and database before starting update process!

    Hi Eva
Thanks for getting back to me.
I have done the update and everything was going good up until yesterday.
I couldn’t get my site to load. I contacted my hosting and the only thing they could tell me was I had to upgrade to a dedicated hosting plan or compress wordpress.

I tried to activate wordpress theme Twenty Fourteen, Fifteen and Sixteen and the site will load just fine. It seems that the parent or child theme won’t.
I was having the same issues with my old hosting company so I thought if I was to change hosting companies that it might solve most of the problems but it hasn’t 🙁

If you can figure out why it’s doing what it’s doing that would be great.

    Thanks
    Andrew

    Hello,

As I see your site is loading now:

Please clarify how we can replicate the issue.

    Hello Eva.

I took a break from working on this site to finish other things but now I’m back at it.
The issue I was having with the site not loading was because a conflict between two plugins and that’s now fixed.

The other problem I’m having is with the load time of my site. The Slider Revolution plugin is giving me a bunch of problems. 404/410 responses taking up to 10-16 sec to load. I’ve installed the latest updates for the plugin but nothings changed. When I deactivate the plugin the problem goes away.

The other issue I see is when the home page is loading it jumps up and down. I checked out the woodemo site and does it a little I but not as much as mine does.

    Are these problems fixable?

    Thanks
    Andrew

    Hello @Eva

I’ve fixed the issue with the 404/410 responses. It seemed to go away after reinstalling the plugin.

But now I’m having issues with other things.

The following resources have identical contents, but are served from different URLs.
    http://rockwoodled.ca/wp-content/plugins/revslider/public/assets/js/jquery.themepunch.revolution.min.js
    http://rockwoodled.ca/wp-content/plugins/revslider/public/assets/js/jquery.themepunch.revolution.min.js?rev=5.1.5

Pingdom Speed Test is telling me that this file it taking a long time to load
    admin-ajax.php

Everything I read up on says to deactivate plugins and retest to see if it clears the problem.
I’ve deactivated every plugin I have installed and the problem is still there. Could it be an issue with the theme it self?

There seems to be one problem after another. It’s getting to be a pain and I’m about ready to scrap this whole website.

If you you have any ideas why these problems are happening and can let me know how to resolve them that would be great.

    Thanks
    Andrew

    @ Eva Kemp
Thanks for sending me all that information. My page speed is under 2 seconds now.

But now I’m having a problem with the Revolution Slider. It’s the last thing to show up on the home page after all the content has loaded. is there a way to have load before the content is loaded so there’s a seamless look to it? Right now it looks unprofessional and broken.

    Thanks
    Andrew

    Hello,

Sorry, but this is related to Revolution Slider plugin.
    We can’t affect it.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.
