Compatibility Issue Between XStore and Upsell Funnel Builder (Order Bump Not Adding to Cart)

Hi XStore Support,

We’re currently facing a compatibility issue between the XStore theme (and its core plugin) and the Upsell Funnel Builder for WooCommerce plugin by WP Swings.

The issue:
The order bump appears on the checkout page, but when clicked, the product does not get added to the cart.

We’ve tested with caching disabled, default themes, and narrowed the problem down to a conflict with the XStore Core plugin.

Debugging done so far:
WP Rocket, Cloudflare Rocket Loader, and JS defer settings have been disabled.

Cartflows, WooCommerce, and other plugins were tested for conflicts.

When XStore Core is deactivated or replaced by a default theme like Storefront, the order bump functions correctly.

How to replicate the issue:
Please try going to https://2657cefbc8.nxcli.io/adding the product,
Davidoff Escurio 10th Anniversary Limited Edition and the order bump on check out page will appear. When we are not using XStore theme, it gets added to the cart and when we do, it doesn’t get added.

https://2657cefbc8.nxcli.io/ is also the staging site for regencycigar.com, if you can fix the issue, can you please let us know how to replicate the fix so we can do the same on the live site? Thank you so much for your help as always.

Hello, regencycigaremporium,

Before implementing the necessary changes, we had to update the theme and plugins to their latest versions. The modifications we made have resolved the issue; however, due to the presence of cached data and CDN, some styles may not be displaying correctly.

Please note that everything appears as expected in the Customizer, as it is not affected by caching. We kindly ask you to clear your CDN and browser caches and then check if the issue has been fully resolved.

Hi XStore Support Team,

Thank you so much for your assistance.

We’re happy to confirm that the layout issues on the staging site have now been resolved. The core problem turned out to be related to outdated cached references and hardcoded URLs from our live domain (regencycigar.com) still present in the staging environment.

It was resolved by:
* Flushing all NxEdge CDN and WordPress caches
* Replacing 245,000+ live domain references in the database with the staging domain
* Ensuring all updated theme/plugin JS files were accessible via correct permissions

As a result:
The XStore layout now displays correctly on the staging site & the Upsell Funnel Builder’s order bump is working properly after the fix you did

We’d now like to apply this same fix to our live site, and while we understand updating the theme is the first step, could you please advise if there any specific steps (beyond updating) that we should follow to fix the compatibility issue between XStore and Upsell Funner Builder so the order bump can get added to cart? or how can we replicate your fix to our live site?

To help resolve the issue more efficiently, we have released the following patch: #9515943. Please follow the steps below on your website:

1. Update the theme and plugin to their latest versions.
2. Install all available patches.
3. Clear all caches.

To install the patches, please navigate to the appropriate tab in your dashboard. If the patches are not visible, simply click the “Refresh Patches” button.
