i can see a comment but its not showing on the page and there is no longer a box for users to leave comments.

Hello,

As I see it’s a separate page, but not a post where comments box is used.
There is no comments form for pages, only for posts.
You see a comment because you added a widget http://prntscr.com/987oc7 .

Hello,

Comments box isn’t included into pages by default in WordPress. It can be used only in posts.
If you want to show it on pages then you have to use some plugin.
Please note we don’t guarantee full compatibility of 3rd-party plugins with the theme.
