Classico Blog only showing text excerpt - by toniM58

Something has happened to the Blog on
https://stevesascodesigns.com/steves-blog/

It used to show full blog post with images. Now only shows text excerpt for majority of Posts except for most recently added.

How to get back to the way it was?

I updated Classico so am assuming it has something to do with the update

Not finding anywhere in the settings to have more than the excerpt shown

Hello,

Did you make any changes in original theme files?

Please provide us with wp-admin and FTP credentials in Private Content.

There is a Child Theme setup and have some Custom CSS in 8Theme Options but pretty sure nothing that should be effecting how the Blog Posts are displayed on the main Blog page.

I updated Classico Theme using FTP on April 6th, replacing old directory with new directory downloaded from Envato

As I see you haven’t selected the Featured image for other posts. Please check it.

I am not/was not using Featured Image for Posts.

Just the content from each post was showing in the main Blog page which included any images.

Hello,

As I see you added excerpt to your posts:

Remove that content if you want to show full posts. Check all posts for excerpts.

Checked ALL published Posts and removed Excerpts. Not fixed the problem.

Also,
Why is the last Post added (Cosplay Andy and Edie featuring Steve Sasco Earrings) showing with such a large image with lightbox effect when it should only be simple image with size of 200px x 200px. Plus its basic HTML code is no different to other Posts with text and image(s) but it is the only Post to show an image on main Blog page: https://stevesascodesigns.com/steves-blog/

Why is “Ultimate Addons for Visual Composer” showing as need to be installed, when it shows in list of Installed Plugins as installed and active. I have tried deactivating, deleting, reinstalling and activating. Same result.

Hello,

I’ve reuploaded Ultimate VC Addons plugin. Please check it now.
The large image is shown for last post because you added featured image for it in the post editor.
To hide it add this code in Theme Options > Styling > Custom CSS > Global Custom CSS:
```
article.blog-post .wp-picture {
 display: none;
}
```
To show full posts on Blog page I’ve edited the file wp-content/themes/classico-child/framework/templates/content.php and replaced the code in line 93 <?php the_excerptt(); ?> with this string <?php the_content(); ?>

Please check Blog page now.
