Child Theme Not Working – HTTP 500 ERROR

Hello

When the child theme for xstore is activated my website does not load and it says -HTTP 500 Error.

I have had someone reinstall the theme and this still does not work.

Please can someone help?

Hello,

If you have the problem only with child theme, it means some changes in files of child theme causes the problem. Try to enable WP debug mode https://codex.wordpress.org/WP_DEBUG to find out what error appears on your site, it will point you in the right direction what needs to be fixed.

Thanks for your reply. How do I enable debug mode? I’m pretty bad at anything tech so need a step by step guide please!

Hello,

We need FTP access to be able to connect to your files using FileZilla file manager. Please ask your hosting provider support to create FTP account to your site files and give us the credentials (hostname, username, password, port).

Hello,

Problem happened because you updated XStore core plugin to major version that was not compatible with the version of theme that you used. I have updated theme to version 5.0.3. Check the site now and let me know if you need any other help from our side.
