I’m using XStore theme on my WooCommerce store. I have already set the Terms & Conditions page in WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → Terms and Conditions field, but the checkbox is not appearing on the checkout page.

Instead of a checkbox, the checkout page shows a static text: “By continuing with your purchase you agree to our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy” — without any actual checkbox that the customer can tick/untick.

I need a proper checkbox on the checkout page (required field) so that customers must actively accept the Terms & Conditions before placing an order. This is a legal requirement for my payment provider.

    Could you please advise:

Is there a setting in XStore Theme Options to enable this checkbox?

If I’m using a custom checkout layout/builder — where do I add the Terms & Conditions checkbox element?

    Hello, mrcreeppl,

The Terms & Conditions checkbox is a default WooCommerce feature and should appear automatically when the Terms & Conditions page is set in WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → Terms and Conditions. If it is not visible, please check the following:

Go to XStore → Theme Options → WooCommerce (Shop) → Checkout and make sure that the “Custom Checkout Layout” option is disabled. This will allow the default WooCommerce checkout form (including the checkbox) to display.

If you are using a custom checkout layout created with the XStore Builder, you need to manually add the “Terms & Conditions” element to your checkout section. In the XStore Builder, open your checkout template, add the “Terms & Conditions” widget/element, and ensure it is set as a required field.

Temporarily disable third-party plugins or custom code snippets that modify the checkout page to confirm that nothing is overriding the default WooCommerce behavior.

After applying these steps, please clear your site and browser cache, then check the checkout page again.

If the issue persists, kindly provide us with temporary admin access (via a secure private message) so we can review your checkout configuration directly.

    Best Regards,
