Categories missing from product>categories but appear in menu option?

as you can see in the screenshot. in the menu there are catregories, but i cant seem to find these anywhere. i need to know how to create new categories and edit the existing ones.

additional issue, as you can see, there is a weird padding on the mega menus which i cant seem to solve.

2. **Setting Mega Menu Width**
this solution is not solving the black padding around the mega menu.

1. **Managing Categories**

the problem is that these categories are not in products>categories. its part of your theme but i cant find them anywhere. please look at the screenshot i provided earlier. those categories are nowhere to be found
