    Hello,

I have followed the steps listed here

    https://xstore.helpscoutdocs.com/article/30-base-theme-translation

I can see language and some transalations added to theme and plugin and have also added some manually

However, when I visit the site I still see default(English). My site language is Spanish, language which I am trying to translate to

    Hello,

    Thanks for contacting us.
You need to translate the parent theme. The child theme should be translated only in case you added custom code in child theme that includes localization functions.
Make sure you placed translation files of the theme into the /wp-content/languages/themes/ folder with correct names (language name and xstore theme suffix, e.g xstore-de_DE.po, xstore-de_DE.mo). Click Sync button https://xstore.helpscoutdocs.com/article/103-translation-files-update, continue translation.
Follow this article to translate WooCommerce – https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-localization/
Let us know if you need any further assistance.

    Regards
