Can't install Xstore Core - by HmirceaD

Hello,

I installed the xstore theme on a staging site that I am developing for a client. When I tried to import a demo store it does not work, only displays plain html and errors.

When I look at the plugins I see that Xstore Core was not installed properly, but when I go to add it it says that the plugin is already installed, but if I reload the page it says again that the plugin is not installed. I attached a screenshot of the error.

Hello,

Update the theme to the latest version – https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/theme-installation/theme-update/ , re-upload files of the Core plugin via FTP – https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/plugins/plugins-update/ https://www.8theme.com/downloads

Hello Rose,

I updated the theme per your instructions.

I also used Filezilla to upload the downloaded et-core-plugin file in the wp-content folder, however the same problem persists.

Hey there,

Thanks for keeping in touch with us.

In this case, I have installed the plugin for you. I also noticed that your site is rendering Flatsome theme shortcodes. Kindly note that the shortcodes will not work with Xstore theme.
We also recommend installing the demo on a fresh install.

Hello John,

Yes the update was installed correctly, thank you. However there are some conflicts on my site. I guess importing the demo prior to Xstore Core being installed properly left some content on my site that I couldn’t see. When I go to my site now I see that there are 3 imported demos on the site (3 headers, 3 times the categories etc.).

How would I go about removing all of this duplicate content? Thank you in advance.

Hello,

Go to Appearance > Menus > edit all the menus according to your needs and remove unnecessary menu items.
