I’ve notced this in several pages on my site recently: I’m trying to edit a text block in Visual Composer. I click on the “Edit Text Block” pen icon. The “Text Block Settings” pops up. I edit the text and click “Save changes”. I can see the change happening in the text block. Now this is already new: The pop up doesn’t close so I click “Close” separatly. Now the Text Block seems fine. BUT, when I update/save the page, the edited text block returns to the original state and all my changes have disappeared!

    Please, contact administrator

    Hello,

Please try to disable all 3-rd party plugins (means the plugins that are not included in the theme package are not in the list of required plugins) and then check.

Also, update theme https://www.8theme.com/demo/docs/royal/#!/installation_upgrade and update all required plugins: https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/ http://prntscr.com/gtwfrk
Before uploading theme files delete “woocommerce” folder, which is located in wp-content/themes/royal/ to avoid problems with old files (it’ll be reuploaded from a new theme package).
Don’t forget to create backup of your files and database before starting update process!
You need to enter your purchase code to activate the theme and skip Setup Wizard.

    Regards

I updated theme and the required plugins. After this everything worked again. However, I have a suggestion for you all:

You should really make the update process simpler for both theme and plugins. FTP is a hassle.

Also your instructions are a little bit misleading in some places, especially about updating the plugins. You have subfolders in the zip-files which create subfolders under the plugin folder and thus not updating the plugin. If I do exactly like your instructions say, I would unzip all the plugin updates to folder /wp-content/plugins/plugin-name/plugin-name instead of /wp-content/plugins/plugin-name which would be the correct one and actually work.

But thanks for your help again!
