Hi. There is definately something wrong with (my) breadcrumbs in the Sneaker Demo. I am currently building the “Singe Product” Page, and whatever i do, i can not remove or change the background of the breadcrumbs. I tried to make it one-color “blue” for example, but no chance, i can not remove this picture.
A hint might be, that if i look in source or click right on that picture and use “open image in new tab” to check its URL, its not a local image of my wordpress install, its url is: https://xstore.8theme.com/elementor/demos/sneakers/wp-content/uploads/sites/67/2021/08/Background.jpg

It seems to me that this URL is hardcoded somehow.
Whatever i do in XStore->Breadcrumbs is ignored.
In the “Single Product” Page Builder i can change the font and its color, but no chance to remove this background.

P.S.: I have installed PermaLink Manager AFTER i have installed XStore and the demo import, maybe possible it crippled some URLs and this “hardcoded” URL is some kind of a fallback?

    Thanks for any hint.

Hi and thanks for your help. It is OK, i got along, used this situation to move to my live site with a fresh XStore Install and import of the Sneakers Demo and the Background.jpg is local here.

Just for you/your team as notice: Something else happened. The Sneakers Demo uses a breadcrumbs image as background for the transparent header. Thats what i use on the Frontpage and Shoppage using Header Conditions. I finished that work and all was well. Then i tried out XStore Options -> GDPR & Cookies and enabled “Cookies Notice”. That broke my transparent Header. The breadcrumbs background was displayed below the Header, leaving the Header white with the breadcrumb image (Background.jpg) below it. Luckily, i just did an LXC (I got my site in a Linux Container) image before, restored it, and all well again 😉

Don’t rely too much on this info, when i have the time i try to reproduce it and maybe get back to you. Still got that “crippled” LXC image. But i guess thats what happened to my development site too, tried the Cookies there also a while back. Took me some time to find that out…

    Basicailly it was like that:

    1. Finished a lot of work on the live site and did an LXC image.
    2. Tried the “Cookies Notice”
    3. Transparent Header crippled, with breadcrumbs background image below the Header – while in Elementor it was still shown fully correct, so no chance to edit it.
    4. Restored LXC image and all good again.

No complaining, just saying again: Something wrong with the Sneakers Demo and the machanism of having the breadcrumbs image as background for the transparent Header 😉

    Hello,

Thank you very much for your detailed message and for sharing your experience with us.

We’re glad to hear that you were able to proceed successfully with a fresh XStore installation and the Sneakers demo on your live site. It’s great to know that the background image is now working locally as expected.

We also truly appreciate you taking the time to inform us about the issue you encountered with the transparent header and the breadcrumbs background image after enabling the “Cookies Notice” option in XStore Options → GDPR & Cookies. Your observations are very helpful, and we understand how such behavior could be confusing, especially when the issue does not appear within Elementor.

Thank you once again for your feedback and for your understanding. We’re always here to help should you need any further assistance.

    Best Regards,
    8Theme’s Team
