Can I add a sidebar to portfolio page and single portfolio page

Hi,

Is it possible to add a sidebar to the portfolio and single portfolio template pages?

Hello,

There is no sidebar for these post types. To add sidebar for your project you can use widgetized sidebar element in content.
If you want to have sidebar for portfolio and projects like you have for the posts you need additional customization (files portfolio.php, single-etheme_portfolio.php). Use child theme if you plan to add changes.
