We have products that are in more than one category. When you view such a product the breadcrumbs show the parent category as the one that is alphabetically the highest rather than the category that you are in.

    Hello,

It’s related to WooCommerce plugin. WooCommerce breadcrumbs structure detects what category display there from the list of categories that you have for your product. If you want to control what category to display there you can use Primary category option in Product > edit Product > 8theme Product options https://prnt.sc/26nwgds

    Regards

so for example we have product categories and then shop by profession. If I want a listing of gloves to be under the gloves category and also under dental I have both categories selected. When someone is shopping in gloves and goes to the product we want the breadcrumbs to take them back to gloves and when someone is shopping in dental and goes to that product we want the breadcrumbs to take them back to dental. When I updated the primary category it doesn’t do this. thanks

    Hello,

There is no such functionality, unfortunately. You can contact support of WooCommerce to get advice.
