    Hello,

when we go to the brands page on the WordPress backend, it leads us to the 404 error page and does not go to the page where we can edit the brands.

we go on -> products -> brands
it doesn’t lead us to the backend where we can add/edit the brands, but goes straight to a 404 error page.

    can we fix this?

    thanks!

    Hello Rose,

    Thanks for your reply!

We viewed that thread and did as you mentioned, we had the post setting as; Day and name

we changed it to; Post name
saved the settings and it ended up not working.

The front-end section of brands is working, when we go on a product page and click the brand image, it leads us to the product page.

The issue we are having is in the backend of the website (where we edit everything)
When we try to add/edit the brands, we cannot access the page. We click brands, and it leads us to a 404 page. We cant access the section where it has the brands and we can add/edit those.

When we go on “products” and then view the list which has the following links; all products, add new, BRANDS, categories, tags, global forms, attributes, reviews

That part is not working. Every other link seems to be working (except brands).

Thanks for any help you can provide!

    Hello @PR,

We have conducted a review of your website and the brand page under Products appears to be functioning correctly. Additionally, we have tested the brand editing feature and it is also working without any 404 errors. Please refer to the attached screenshots and consider clearing the cache of your website and browser.

    Hello Tony,

    thanks!
we are not sure why it was not working before, we then cleared the history and cache of the browser we were viewing it from (google chrome) and then opened a new browser and it started working.

could the cache be the reason the page was showing an error?

    appreciate the help on this!

    Hello, @PR,

Thank you for your response, and we’re glad to hear that the issue has been resolved after clearing the browser’s history and cache. Yes, caching can often be the reason behind certain website display issues, including 404 errors or outdated content. When a webpage is loaded, the browser stores certain elements of that page in its cache to speed up future visits. However, sometimes this cached data can become outdated or corrupted, leading to unexpected problems when accessing the site.

By clearing the cache, you essentially forced the browser to fetch fresh data from the server, which likely resolved the previous error you were experiencing. It’s a common troubleshooting step that can help in various situations.

If you encounter similar issues in the future, remember that clearing the cache is often a good first step to try. If the problem persists even after clearing the cache, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us again, and we’ll be happy to investigate further.

If you have any other questions or concerns, feel free to let us know. We’re here to help!

    Best Regards,
