    we have woothemees brands plugin, noticing now that you include a brands plugin too. we would rather use a theme independent brands feature, how can we disable your brands pluigin and can you considering integrating your theme featurs with that official woothemes brands plugin too?

    Hello,

    Unfortunately, there is no option to disable the brand feature in our theme, it’s built in. What exactly errors did you face when using WooCommerce Brand plugin?

    Regards

    It’s not an error i am getting. This is about usability. I now have TWO brand meta boxes, and I don’t want to see two, nor do i want to tell staff to “avoid” one. i want brand data outside of theme incase we change theme later.

    So far this has been a great theme experience, please consult with your devs about this. The proper place for brand info is not the theme, brand info should be independent of theme.

    Hello,

    To hide brands you need to edit following files:

    wp-content/plugins/et-core-plugin/inc/post-types.php
    and comment out register_taxonomy( ‘brand’, array( ‘product’ ), $args ); line
    see http://prnt.sc/c0l4gc

    Also wp-content/themes/xstore/framework/init.php
    and comment out line require_once( apply_filters(‘etheme_file_url’, ETHEME_CODE . ‘woo/brands.php’) );
    see http://prnt.sc/c0l40g

    Regards

    Hello,

    This is built in feature. Unfortunately, we don’t plan to add option to disable it.

    Regards
