    Hey,

    so I have two questions.

first one is, after getting WPML to work I had to manually re-create my menu in french. For some odd reason when I browse the site in french in the submenu where I have top brands and then I inserted actual brands, the brand description show along with the title of the brand.

where-as in the original english menu it simply shows the Brand name.

second question is, how do I get WPML to use the Language switcher that is native with the demo theme content in the header top bar where it says EN FR and Currency, but WPML has currently replaced that with something really ugly and I cant even read what it says.

    any help is appreciated.
    Thanks,

    Hello,

    1) Because in French menu you’ve added description into brand. Please see screenshot: http://prntscr.com/77mjcp
    2) I recommend to use wpml option of selecting the language. But if you want to change then you need to do it yourself. You can edit this in \themes\royal\headers\parts\top-bar.php file

Hey sorry for the delay, the brand description issue was correctly resolved using the suggestion that were made.

Im just a little lost with how to integrate WPML to work as you have it in the default content…

although I did not leave it in the top-bar you may visit my site to see where I have put it

but as I have it now they are just empty links, How do I add the code for the English and Francais text to switch to their according languages?

    thanks

Hello, Nothing to do with this topic. But because you have a french version, would it be possible for you to send me the po and mo file for the theme?

my email is mbenven@gmail.com I would really appreciate it as i have to do translate file in french and do not speak it. I just need the front end stuff so if you have just that translated it would be great.

    Hello @jeffunik72,

You need add this code <?php do_action('icl_language_selector'); ?> instead of the one that you’re using now. That code is suggested by WPML to use in php files.
If you still want to use your code you need add a link to French site in the code <li><a href="#">FRANÇAIS</a></li> instead #.

the only issue with keeping my code is that instead of the # and putting a link to the french home page if im anywhere else on the site it will leave that page and go to the home page and the user will have to start his browser again…

    Hello @jeffunik72,

In this case you need use WPML code <?php do_action('icl_language_selector'); ?> to add it to php file.

    Thank you.

Yeah I figured so. I’ll just have to use CSS to make it look like I had it before

    Thanks,
    Jeff
