    Hi, see screenshot attached.

The subtotal is showing the incorrect amount when I have for example 6 items in my basket, then reduce it to 2. I need to refresh page for the subtotal to show correct amount, this is not ideal as customers are seeing the incorrect price as they then click into checkout and see its suddenly increased. Please can you look into this? I believe the issue could be something to do with your multi-buy sales booster that I have enabled? I’m seeking this to be resolved simply at the root solution or a small ajax call specifically targetted to the subtotal element, as the actual total element underneath shows correctly and the product subtotals on the left, it is just the subtotal in cart total on right top that suddenly updates correctly when u refresh.

As I said this seems to happen when removing an item from basket, 6 down to 2 or 3 down to 2 or 4 down to 3 it just happens sometimes.

    Hi,

I’ve disabled that now so you can access, a video shouldn’t be needed. If you add items to basket, up quantity to 5 of something then reduce to 2 or 3, you’ll notice that you need to refresh page to get the correct subtotal on the right.

The product table subtotals is correct, the cart overview on the right at the bottom TOTAL is correct, its just the cart overview subtotal the right top is the one which isn’t updating properly with the multi buy feature. As I said, when reducing item quantities it needs a refresh to show the correct amount.

    Hello, Cookster,

Thank you for providing access. First of all, we recommend updating all themes and plugins to their latest versions. We have noticed that you currently have more than 20 outdated plugins, and the theme version you are using is 9.6.1, while the latest available version is 9.7. Several important fixes have been released since then.

    Best regards,
    8Theme Team

    Hi,

I can confirm this was still an issue even when I had all the plugins up to date a couple months ago.

I am happy to update plugins but when I update xstore core etc and theme it breaks my custom snippets that I did hooks with, how can I avoid these theme updates breaking my code?

    Hello, Cookster,

Thank you for your message and for confirming the situation. We understand your concern regarding theme and plugin updates affecting your custom code.

To prevent your custom snippets from being overwritten or broken after updates, we recommend placing all your customizations in a child theme rather than modifying the parent theme files directly. This way, your hooks and custom code will remain intact when you update the main theme or XStore Core plugin.

If you already use a child theme, please ensure that your custom functions and hooks are properly prefixed and do not conflict with theme updates. You can also test updates on a staging site before applying them to your live website to ensure everything works as expected.

Please let us know if you need further guidance on setting up or adjusting your child theme.

    Best Regards,
    8Theme’s Team
