Auto payment not working. - by daniellau78

    I used the built-in stripe payment gateway, and notice that the second payment is not renew automatically. Instead an email is send to the user for the payment. Is there a way to automate this process. Thanks!

    Hello,

    As we know Stripe does not have subscriptions by default https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/stripe/ You need to use the additional plugin if you want to implement subscriptions. Our theme comes bundled with Subscriptio plugin. Do you use it to implement subscriptions or another plugin? Which one?

    Hi,

    I forgot to mention in the previous mail, I am using the Subscriptio Plugin. The first payment went thru but on the second one onwards, it is manual. ie: Instead of deducting the amount automatically, it will send an email to ask for payment manually.     So, check the settings once more, please. If it still does not work provide temporary Dashboard and FTP access to your site.

    Hi there,

    I just checked everything is in order.
    Yes, please help me logged in to take a look. Temporarily access rights credentials are stated in the Private content session.

    PS: Please be extra careful when logging in as I spend quite a bit of effort in building up the portal. Thanks!

    Hello,

    1) We have changed one product to check the payment process. Is your site live and we should change it back now or it can stay changed during next few days till we get the reply from plugin authors?
    2) We found the fatal error on the products page and also reported plugin author about this.

    We are waiting for the reply from author and inform you once get the solution.

    1) We have created test order and don’t see the problem with autopayment. Before the autopayment, the new order is created according to settings http://prntscr.com/kbsk2y and then autopayment.
    2) The error appeared because of the incomplete variable product. When we finished the creation of the variable product it disappeared.

    I saw the new order created 1 day before the payment due. I managed to achieve that myself too. The problem is I was given the impression that the auto payment will auto deduct from the same credit card without sending an email to the customer asking them to click ‘pay’.     I am not too sure what do you mean by that? Cause I did not set up any variable product. Can you elaborate a little more about this. Thanks!

    I see there are 6 orders that have payment status as “Processing”. Does that means the payment process kicks in already but you are holding payment on your side? Or it means that it is waiting for the client to acknowledge before payment can proceed? It appears to be the latter right now as I received emails asking me to click the “Pay Now”.

    Hello,

    1) The new order is created according to plugin settings. If you want to reduce the time – edit subscription settings. The author also confirmed that everything is fine with your payment http://prntscr.com/kcraax

    2) This product was set as variable https://gadgetdoggo.com/product/one-dollar-product/ without variations. If this product should not be variable then change the product type in Dashboard.

    1) Alright, thanks for confirming that it is working.

    2) Got the variable product setting. I must have forgotten to reset it after testing on the variable settings.
