Hello, I use the WordPress Plugin “Advanced Product Fields Extended for WooCommerce” from Studio Wombat to use variation products

Here is the thing, if I dont use the plugin the website does not reload and the cart opens how it should, when I activate the plugin and use the variation thing part, It does reload and I get the default wordpress success. Here is a loom video: https://www.loom.com/share/5a49bf319c0e487ba86d7e46a220ec76

And the Support wrote me this after I sent them the video:

    Hi Tim,

We understand the reported behavior now, thank you for the loom video.

This is not a bug or issue with our plugin. The behavior you showed in the first product is called “Ajax add to cart”. This functionality allows the users to add the product to the cart without reloading the page.

This is not a default WooCommerce behavior. X-Store, the theme in use, also mentioned this that if this option is active, a compatibility issue may occur. See image: https://share.zight.com/E0um0R7K

So how it works on your site is that when a product that does not use the fields from our plugin added to the cart, it will trigger the Ajax add to cart. Therefore, the product page will not be reloaded, and the mini cart will be opened.

On the other hand, the product page will be reloaded like the default WooCommerce product page does when someone adds a product to the cart with the fields from our plugin.

It will require custom coding to open up the mini cart after reloading the page. Our plugin is not responsible for this behavior. Your theme does.

In this case, we recommend reaching to the theme developer and ask assistance. If they need anything from our end, please let us know as we are more than happy to further help.

    Can you fix that?

    Please, contact administrator
    for this information.

    Hello, TimN2408,

Thank you for reaching out to us with your concern regarding the interaction between the “Advanced Product Fields Extended for WooCommerce” plugin and our X-Store theme, particularly in relation to the Ajax add to cart functionality.
We appreciate the detailed explanation and the video you provided, which helps us understand the situation better. It seems that the issue arises when the plugin is activated and interferes with the Ajax add to cart feature that is part of our theme’s enhanced user experience.

Please note that we do not give a guarantee for full theme compatibility with all existing 3rd party plugins. Sometimes, but not always, you need additionally customize the theme or plugin to make them work together. Unfortunately, it’s not possible for the author to make the theme compatible with all the existing plugins and additional customization is outside the scope of our support.

At this juncture, our recommendation is to deactivate the Ajax add to cart option https://share.zight.com/E0um0R7K

If you wish a developers team can personally assist you via customization service.
