    Hello,

The “successfully added to your shopping cart” notification (after clicking the “Add to cart” button) differs from single products to variable products.

On single products a nice small pop-up is displayed: [the product] was successfully added to your shopping cart., Continue Shopping, Checkout >.

On variable products a notification banner is displayed right in the product page: View Cart, “[the product]” was successfully added to your cart.

Could we have that nice pop-up on all products?

Also, another glitch is that after adding a variable product to the sopping cart, the product variation image is changed back to the featured image (the main image) of the product. This could get the user confused because the current product attributes selection is the same but the image was changed (not reflecting the selection).

    Thanks,
    Victor

    Hello,

Unfortunately Ajax “Add to Cart” is available only for simple products and not for variable ones. Sorry.
Does the issue with variable product persist with default WordPress theme too or just with our theme? Please check it.

    Thank you.
    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

What do you think about this plug-in: https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce-ajax-add-to-cart-for-variable-products/?

Should I give it a try?

    Hello,

You may try to use it but we don’t guarantee full compatibility of any 3rd-party plugin with the theme.

    Eva Kemp.

Do you recommend me other approach (e.g. could you update/upgrade your own theme)?

Should I have any question regarding the integration of the plug-in in the IDStore theme, could I count on your support?

    Thanks,
    Victor

    Hello,

Is there any chance to get the Ajax “Add to Cart” working for the variable products in the next update of your theme?

Since there is no note on the Theme Options page (as the feature only works on the single products) I was expecting to also work on the variable products. It is quite confusing (from the user’s perspective) to see different behaviors (notifications) on single products than variable products. Don’t you think?

I also tried the plug-in I mentioned above but it does not integrate well in your theme (it actually breaks the theme visually).

    Thanks,
    Victor

    Hello,

This fix (https://www.8theme.com/topic/the-image-of-the-default-variation-is-not-displayed-in-the-product-page/#post-51096) also fixes “after adding a variable product to the sopping cart, the product variation image is changed back to the featured image (the main image) of the product” (reported here).

Also, could you please update me with the progress on the other issues I reported? Do you know when the new updated theme will be released?

    Thanks,
    Victor
