  I would like to take the “Product Short Description” from the product page and populate it above the product (in our case it is a catalog number) on the product category pages.

  Never mind I figured it out… Added this code to the content-product.php
  <br /><?php echo apply_filters( ‘woocommerce_short_description’, $post->post_excerpt ) ?>
