Add Navigation Bar Callout - by Pivotal5

Hi there,

I would like to add an additional line or section within my header/navigation bar, that is a call out that will eventually say “GET CERITFIED!”

I would like to model it after similar promo call outs on sites such as this: http://www.gap.com (here’s a screenshot: http://www.highxtraining.com/devsite/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/Screen-Shot-2016-03-07-at-9.44.52-AM.jpeg). I’m specifically referring to the blue bar that shows the 40% off sale and code.

I tried creating a static block and using the short code to put it in the “Promo Pop Up” section of the theme options, but it didn’t seem to work. Could you help me somehow?

I know there are other plugins specifically for Top Bar popups/call-outs like these. Am I better off installing one of those?

Do you want the text to be shown in popup window or in the top bar of header?

I would like it to be shown in the top bar of header.

Also, is there a way that I can change the size of the text in the header navigation, or how far over it is? I would like it to be further to the right.

Hello,

In this case to add custom text at the top of the header you need edit the file wp-content/themes/royal/headers/header-structure-1.php.

Is there any way that I can get rid of this part of the footer that’s showing up: http://www.highxtraining.com/devsite/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/Screen-Shot-2016-03-09-at-7.32.28-AM.jpeg

If nothing else, is there a way that I can at least get rid of the part with the credit card logos?
