Topic: Add custom image or static block to just a certain woocommerce category

Hello: I’d like to add a static block with an image and link in the sidebar of the product page that is DIFFERENT per category. For instance, if I had a mattress category – I’d show a different banner in that static block area than if I was in the living room category. How would I do this?

Hello,

You can upload an image for each category in Products > Categories > edit a category and upload a thumbnail.

Yes, I’ve seen that. Is it possible to add a banner to the side bar of a product page?

So, for example, I’m looking at Mattress Model 123 and I have a banner in the side bar that is visible for all mattress product pages.

I wanted to respond to this, in case someone else finds this post useful at some point. If you add the plugin called WooSidebars (http://docs.woothemes.com/document/woosidebars-2/) you can then target categories or products or tags etc to override the default side bars or top bars for individual product pages or the shop pages. This plugin gives you an immense amount of control over what extras you add to your product pages.

This plugin solved my design dilemma.
