    We purchased the Legenda theme prior to the 2.2 update. We followed the upgrade procedure that you outlined, and were successfully able to update and carry on with building the site with the new version (plugin) of the visual composer. We were developing a site on a staging environment and did not want to activate the key until after we put the site in its final location.

    Now the site is at it’s final destination, but I can not update the visual composer as it is asking for a purchase-code. And I entered a valid api key. Next was the purchase code. Since this editor was initially integrated with the theme, and with the 2.2 update we had to uninstall the integrated editor and add the visual editor as a plugin, we do not have a “visual composer” purchase code. I tried the purchase code for the Legenda theme, but needless to say it promptly told me that was an invalid code.

    After we moved from the staging environment to the live, we have a couple of anomalies happening with the visual editor, which we hope the upgrade will resolve.

    So how do I upgrade the visual composer?

    Please, contact administrator

    Hello,

    We provide all plugins of the latest versions implemented in our theme. There are 2 solutions to update VC:
    – you can wait for a new theme release where VC plugin will be updated to the latest version;
    – you have to buy license key yourself for the VC update.

    If it’s critical for you to have it’s updated then you should buy the license.

    I’m in the same boat as John. I went to the http://support.wpbakery.com/ to enter my code and it says “Please enter a valid code”!
    What went wrong?

    Hello,

    Did you buy the license for Visual Composer by yourself or you are using the code of the theme?

    Regards,
