    Hello again guys,
    so sorry to bother you again. I have a problem with my menu in 2nd language. I created it, saved it, clicked on the appropriate buttons bellow to be the english one, but everytime i press save and clear the cache i always see the one or the other…

    You can see it in action on the link i’m providing. It should saw you the english menu, but is shows the greek one.

    Hello,

    Please update the theme to the latest version 2.6 and Woocommerce as well.
    Before update delete “woocommerce” folder in the directory wp-content/themes/royal/ and it’ll be reuploaded from a new theme package.
    Also update all required plugins https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/ .

    Don’t forget to create back up of your files and database before starting update process!

    (it’s for Legenda theme but the process is the same).

    And now i rebuilding the site, thats ok i found where everything is. But i don’t remember what you did with the static blocks the previews time.

    Also now i can’t even see the GR menu :/ What happened all of a sudden ?

    OK i think i have made everything the way the were…. The main GR menu is still not showing up. I have deleted the ENG menu just to see what will happen and nothing happened !

    The site is live guys and has 5000 people online. Please HELP !

    I will update it on the evening where the traffic is down, but not now! Eva HELP ! 🙂

    Update.
    1. I have made a new menu -> NOTHING happened.
    2. I have deleted all menus from their places -> Appeared on the page that please insert menu. Thats something.
    3. I have seen that the menu is appearing on the mobile, so thats something.
    4. I have downloaded a backup from yesterday and i will upload now the functions.php and the header.php to see what will happen.

    Do you want me to upload anything else ?

    Hello again Eva,
    i see that someone is doing stuff inside the site. Can you give me an update because the client is calling like 2 minutes and yelling like a wild beast ????
    Now everything is off, the site don’t have any plugins activated.

    p.s. I don’t have any backup of the Database. The only backup i have is from today :/

    OK Update!

    I have uploaded the yesterday wp-content without the uploads directory and it’s working now.

    Eva, i have forgoten what you done on the english page regarding the footer – static blocks – categories, they don’t appear to me as you can see on the links. So i could really use your help there if you don’t mind.

    Now we can see whats the problem with the English menu ? The site don’t have yet an english menu, so i will let you work on that as you wish to make it.

    Hello,

    Concerning the footer, just add new Static Block widget into Footer area in Appearance > Widgets http://storage1.static.itmages.com/i/16/0310/h_1457631804_1394620_dae1dfa090.png and select footer block for English and select language where it should be displayed.

    Also I’ve just created menu for English version “Menu-En” and it’s shown on English site version. Clear browser cache and check.

    You’re welcome.
    I just created it and marked as Main menu (English) in Manage Locations tab in Appearance > Menus.

    Yea.. It’s not working. I tried my self now that i wanted to create the correct menu. It’s showing the one or the other only… if you save the English Menu last you will see it on the English page and on the Greek page…. if you save the Greek Menu last you will see that on both pages.

    Try it again, to see for your self. Both menus exist

    Hello,

    I’ve reactivated the plugins and now correct menus are shown.
    Clear browser cache and check. Also disable the plugin “Redis Object Cache” and check menu after that.

    I’m sorry but i did not understand what you did or said.
    I reactivated all the plugins once more, they were de-activated

    i carefully choose all those plugins in a 3month period i can’t really remember everything that i have done on them to work.

    The menu is not working. Can you be a little bit more elaborative or detailed ?

    Leave the Redis and Nginx helper active, if you want you can clear the cache inside the site. Also every time you de-activate the plugins i can’t insert my license on the Yoast SEO plugins for some reason.

    Hello,

    The problem with menu is caused by “Redis Object Cache” plugin. I’ve disabled it and set “Menu-En” menu for English language. Please clear browser cache and check English version of site now.

    Wow… i never believed that i see that.
    how is this possible the Redis a cashing plugin causing a problem on the menu ?
    is this in conjunction with the polylang ? or with the theme ?
    And what can we do ? I mean redis was there to help nginx to keep the site loading fast.

    You need contact the plugin authors regarding it.
    Also you may try to use other cache plugins to speed up site loading.

    I will contact the plugin author for that. But can you give me a little bit more technical details as for what to say to him ?
    I mean what is the main reason for that ?
    The menu has ID’s and in your code you just ask for the menu ID or something similar right ? I don’t quite understand why the Redis can have such a problem with that

    Hello,

    You need ask if there is any incompatibility of Redis plugin with Polylang plugin. Let them check the problem with more details. Also try to use other cache plugin.
    Please note Polylang plugin isn’t recommended by our theme and we didn’t test it, you decided to use it on your own. We recommend to use WPML plugin for multilingual site which is fully compatible with the theme.

    As always great answer.

    I used polylang because WPML was causing me problems with the translations for some reason. Even though i bought it :/

    I will try and install the site on a new machine as a fresh installation, with all the new updates, make it multilingual first with the english language as first and then try to import all the data (products-pages)

    A) Do you recomment any way of importing the woocommerce data and the sites pages from one site to another easy ?
    B) Do you think that Redis would play nicely with WPML ?
