Hi,
I upgraded from 2.8.1 to 2.9 and have 2 questions.
01. I have edited the Memory Limit in default-constants.php and need to know if or how to keep the settings after a Theme Upgrade. And if that file changes in a theme upgrade, I cannot just copy the old file over the existing. Is there a child setup that will keep only the change needed?
02. On my Home/Shop Page, how can I get it to display by Categories versus Products?
Thanks,
Dale
Hello,
1. Is the file default-constants.php created by default on a server where you host the site?
There is no such file in our theme. You should contact your hosting provider regarding this query.
2. To display categories on Shop page go to Woocommerce > Settings > Products tab > Display > Shop Page Display > select “Show categories and subcategories”.
Best regards,
Jack Richardson.
It is in the Theme and in wp-includes home directory. Searched the web on how to increase memory-limit and it works. The file was there by default. Not a server file.
Hello,
“wp-includes” folder contains WordPress files, not the theme. Please specify in what folder of the theme you found the file default-constants.php.
Provide us with FTP and WP Dashboard credentials in private content.
Best regards,
Jack Richardson.
It is in the home directory wp-includes. I set memory limit there and woocommerce system status gets updated.
Hello,
In this case this is not the theme file, because theme folder is located in the directory wp-content/themes. if you found it in wp-includes directory, then it’s WordPress file.
So the file won’t be removed after theme update.

Jack Richardson.
