    Hello XStore Support Team,

We are experiencing recurring HTTP 500 errors originating from the ET Core plugin on our WooCommerce website: https://brsapatarias.pt.

Using Query Monitor, we identified repeated requests to the following endpoint:

    https://www.8theme.com/themes/api/info/xstore?plugin=et-core

    The requests are initiated by:

    ETheme_Version_Check->api_info()

Both requests returned **500 Internal Server Error**. In one recorded instance, the first request took approximately 1.07 seconds.

These errors continue to appear when navigating between different product pages.

We have also noticed a deterioration in website responsiveness compared with the previous day.

    Could you please:

    1. Investigate whether your API endpoint is experiencing a server-side issue?
    2. Confirm whether these repeated requests may be contributing to our page generation times?
    3. Check whether our installed XStore and ET Core versions include the latest performance-related fixes?
    4. Advise on a safe resolution without disabling ET Core or affecting our WooCommerce store?

We can provide screenshots from Query Monitor showing the recurring errors.

    Thank you for your assistance.

    Kind regards,
    B&R Sapatarias

    Hello, Pedro Ferreira,

Could you please provide temporary wp-admin and FTP access? We will check what can be done to help you.
To grant WP-Admin access, please proceed to create a new user account with an administrator role through your WordPress Dashboard. Once the account is established, you may securely transmit the username and password to us via the Private Content section designated for this purpose.

For FTP access, we require the following details: FTP host, FTP username, FTP password, FTP port, and FTP encryption type. If you need assistance in creating these credentials, please reach out to your hosting provider who will guide you through the process.

    Best Regards,
    8Theme’s Team

    Hello Andrew,

    Thank you for your reply.

Before providing administrator and FTP access to our live WooCommerce store, we would appreciate it if you could first investigate the API endpoint on your side:

    https://www.8theme.com/themes/api/info/xstore?plugin=et-core

Our Query Monitor logs show repeated HTTP 500 responses from this endpoint, triggered by:

    ETheme_Version_Check->api_info()

One of the recorded requests took approximately 1.07 seconds.

    Could you please confirm:

    1. Whether this endpoint is currently experiencing any server-side issues.
    2. Why ET Core is making repeated requests to this endpoint during product page navigation.
    3. Whether these requests can affect page generation time, particularly for logged-in users.
    4. Whether there is an official fix or update available.

We can provide screenshots of the Query Monitor results.

Our hosting provider is also investigating performance issues on the live website. For this reason, we would prefer to avoid simultaneous changes by different support teams.

If direct access is essential, please explain which checks you intend to perform, whether FTP access is strictly necessary, and whether the investigation can initially be carried out in read-only mode.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Best regards,
    B&R Sapatarias

    Hello, Pedro Ferreira,

These requests are sent only from the admin panel on a weekly basis to check for theme updates. The number of such requests may vary depending on the server cache and whether the automatic plugin update option is active (if so, this request is initiated by WordPress according to the schedule set in its settings). As for the issue with the 500 Internal Server Error, it has already been resolved on our server.

    Best Regards,
    8Theme’s Team
