Out-of-stock products are still displayed in the catalog

Hi,

We are experiencing an issue with out-of-stock products on our WooCommerce website.

In WooCommerce settings, the following option is enabled:

“Hide out of stock items from the catalog.”

For example, product has stock quantity set to 0 and is correctly recognized as out of stock. The product is displayed on the website, but the “Add to Cart” button is not available.

Products that are out of stock should not be displayed at all. Customers should not see these products anywhere in the catalog or category listings.

Hello @Nesa,

You have set the shop page as your home page, but on other pages with products, you are using separate widgets to display the products. Each of these widgets has its own settings to show or hide out-of-stock products (https://gyazo.com/a4773ad8faca1cd7109e9b43b14cdfe3). If you require our assistance, could you please provide more details, including screenshots, videos, or URLs, so we can understand your request correctly?

For example, the following product has a stock quantity of 0 and is out of stock, but when we open it as a single product, it is still displayed normally. This should not happen. Products that are out of stock should not be displayed or accessible as single products at all.

Hello @Nesa,

Could you please clarify the documentation where you found the details stating that out-of-stock products should not be displayed as single products? According to the default WooCommerce functionality, such products are displayed as single products. Making these products unavailable for preview as single products can only be achieved through additional customizations. Additionally, could you clarify how the customer can find such products on the frontend? If these products are displayed on your homepage in some widgets, you can activate the “Hide out of stock” setting in the Elementor editor. By editing the widget, these out-of-stock products will not be displayed on your page.

Hi,

Yes, in the meantime I figured this out.

Products that are out of stock are not displayed on the homepage or on the Shop page. I understand now that the individual product page (single product) is still accessible by default in WooCommerce, even when the product is out of stock.
