    Hi 8theme support team,

I am using the XStore theme and I am trying to achieve a specific setup for my shop page, but I am facing compatibility issues with standard WooCommerce plugins.

    What I want to achieve:

I want my Variable Products to “split” on the Shop/Catalog page so that each Color/Print variation shows up as a separate product box with its own image and title.

When a user clicks on a color variation from the Shop page, I want them to be redirected to the Parent Variable Product page, with that specific color pre-selected, but keeping all other attribute dropdowns (like Size S, M, L) visible and functional.

    The issue:
I have already tried standard plugins (like Iconic WooCommerce Show Single Variations and Addify’s Products by Attributes & Variations), but they either get overridden by the theme’s custom product loop/grid layout, or they completely lock the product page to a single variation, hiding the other sizes.

    My questions for you:

Does XStore have a built-in feature or a native element in XStore Builder that can achieve this without third-party plugins?

If not, is there a specific, tested “Variations as Single Product” plugin that you officially support or recommend for XStore?

If I use a premium plugin, is there a custom code snippet or hook I need to implement so it doesn’t conflict with XStore’s custom shop grid query?

Thank you in advance for your help!

    Hello, Mark,

To achieve this result, please enable the following option:

Theme Options → WooCommerce (Shop) → Shop → Products Design → Variations as Simple Products (Beta)

    Best regards,

Is it possible to split Variable Products on the Shop/Catalog page by the ‘Color/Print’ attribute only, while keeping ‘Size’ as a standard option inside the product page? Essentially, I want to exclude the Size variations from the catalog split.

    Hello @nkalogerogiannis,

You can set an attribute value to separate your variation products by a specific attribute in the “Primary Attribute” setting: https://gyazo.com/dc412a68075379513b08ef5de7cf0a83

I selected this option and I enabled ‘Recount layered widgets counts,’ also, but the frontend is still splitting also the size variation instead of only showing the print variation.

I want to display our product variations on the shop page split by print only, rather than by both print and size. Right now, it’s showing all print/size combinations.

I need only the prints to show up as separate items. When a user clicks into a specific print, they should then be able to choose their size from there.

    Hello @nkalogerogiannis,

Our functionality works correctly; however, for products that do not have the “Primary attribute” you set as “Print,” the variations are displayed based on all combinations defined in the product attributes. You can see an example of such a product here: https://gyazo.com/1b3c313312368f7bd7033886d2f71369.

If you would like to have more advanced functionality for separating variable products as variations, you can deactivate our built-in functionality and install a plugin that offers more advanced configuration options. It is not possible to implement all customer requests within the theme settings due to the specific structure and size of certain features, which are more appropriately managed through separate plugins with their own settings.

    Best regards,
