Brands- Xstore or woo-com, how to set them up/ turn off

I am setting up brands for product categories and filtering. For the initial setup, I plan to use XStore Brands so I can test the available widgets and filtering options.

Is there anything I need to configure, disable, or turn off regarding WooCommerce Brands before doing this?

I am not planning to use both brand systems at the same time. However, while I am setting up products now, can I assign products to both XStore Brands and WooCommerce Brands so that I have the option to switch to WooCommerce Brands in the future without having to reassign hundreds of products?

My goal is to configure both brand taxonomies now, but only use XStore Brands initially. That way, if I decide to switch later, all the brand assignments are already in place.

Are there any issues or drawbacks to setting up products this way?

Your approach to configuring both brand types for your products and selecting the one you prefer is excellent. No additional configuration is required. However, if you plan to disable either our built-in XStore Brands or the built-in WooCommerce Brands, please refer to the solution provided in our article: https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/woocommerce/differences-between-brands-from-the-woocommerce-plugin-and-from-xstore-theme-which-to-choose-and-how-to-disable-unnecessary-ones/.

Please note that our brand widgets in the sidebar or within builder elements are designed to display only our built-in XStore Brands. If you wish to display WooCommerce brands instead, you will need to use the appropriate widgets or implement a custom solution.

To clarify, if I leave the setting as-is and configure both XStore Brands and WooCommerce Brands, can I just use the XStore Brands exactly as they are in the templates? I don’t need to disable or turn off WooCommerce Brands, correct?
