    On my product page, there is a ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ button on the left by default. Below this are the FAQs linked to the product in question. Sometimes there’s a link in the answer, but if you click on it, you stay on the page and the FAQ collapses. I know that the link in the FAQ answer does work, because it works on other pages. It just doesn’t work when you’re on the product page.

    Why is this happening? Do you know how to fix it?

    If not, how do I remove the ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ button from here? Because if links are not working I’d prefer to have a block with a shortcode further down the product page. Thank you!

    Hello, Jacomijn,

    Thank you for reaching out to us.

    The issue you are experiencing with the FAQ links collapsing instead of opening the linked page may be related to the way the FAQ toggle script is initialized on the product page. It could be preventing normal link behavior within the FAQ content.

    To resolve this, please try the following steps:
    1. Check if there are any JavaScript errors in the browser console when clicking the link.
    2. Temporarily disable third-party plugins to see if there is a conflict.
    3. Ensure that your theme and all plugins are updated to their latest versions.

    If the issue persists and you prefer to remove the “Frequently Asked Questions” button from the product page, you can disable it in Theme Options > WooCommerce > Single Product Builder or by using custom CSS to hide the element or remove it using single product elementor builder Alternatively, you can add the FAQ block manually using a shortcode in the desired section of the product page.

    Please let us know if you need further assistance or specific guidance on applying these changes.

    Best Regards,
    8Theme’s Team

    Hi Andrew,

    Thanks for your reply. I’ll check the plugins to see if that’s where the issue lies.

    If I wanted to remove that block, you say:
    If the issue persists and you prefer to remove the “Frequently Asked Questions” button from the product page, you can disable it in Theme Options > WooCommerce > Single Product Builder or by using custom CSS to hide the element or remove it using single product elementor builder.

    I had a look at this yesterday, but I can’t see where I can remove the FAQ item via the builder. The four items you can see there are actually all of them, apart from the FAQ. See attached screen shot. Thank you!

    Hi Andrew,

    The plugins and theme have been updated, but we’ve deactivated PRO Elements, as we’ve repeatedly experienced major issues whenever there’s an update for it (which causes large parts of the website to stop working). That’s why we’ve deactivated it and activated Elementor PRO. However, the problem still persists:

    When I go to the FAQ on a product page and there’s a link in the FAQ answer, the link doesn’t work. Could you help me with this?

    Hello @Jacomijn,

    Thank you for providing us with the correct access. Could you kindly clarify whether the FAQ accordion tab was implemented using an additional plugin or through custom modifications? Additionally, could you please provide us with temporary FTP access? Our analysis indicates that we need to debug the issue by making some modifications to the templates, which is not possible with only wp-admin access.

    Best regards,

    Thanks for your reply. In the private content you’ll see the details for the FTP access.

    I use the plugin HelpieFAQ for the FAQ on our website.

    Hello @Jacomijn,

    Could you kindly check now? We have implemented a JavaScript code snippet in your child theme’s functions.php file and tested it, and it is now working correctly.

    Frontend result: https://gyazo.com/ce960a4135c48548daa8f4af771dad4a

    Code snippet:

    add_action( 'wp_enqueue_scripts', 'xstore_child_rescope_wc_tabs_delegation', 999 );
    function xstore_child_rescope_wc_tabs_delegation() {

      if ( ! function_exists( 'is_product' ) || ! is_product() ) {
        return;
      }

      $handle = wp_script_is( 'wc-single-product', 'enqueued' ) ? 'wc-single-product' : 'jquery-core';

      $js = <<<'JS'
    ( function ( $ ) {
      'use strict';

      var needle = '.wc-tabs li a, ul.tabs li a',
        fixed  = '.wc-tabs > li > a, ul.tabs > li > a';

      function et_rescope_wc_tabs_delegation() {
        var body    = $( document.body ),
          patched = false,
          events;

        if ( typeof $._data !== 'function' ) {
          // No access to jQuery's event store: drop core's tab delegation,
          // XStore drives its own tabs anyway.
          body.off( 'click', needle ).off( 'keydown', needle );
          return false;
        }

        events = $._data( document.body, 'events' ) || {};

        $.each( [ 'click', 'keydown', 'keyup' ], function ( i, type ) {
          $.each( ( events[ type ] || [] ).slice(), function ( j, handler ) {
            if ( ! handler.selector || 0 !== handler.selector.indexOf( needle ) ) {
              return;
            }
            body
              .off( type, handler.selector, handler.handler )
              .on( type, handler.selector.replace( needle, fixed ), handler.handler );
            patched = true;
          } );
        } );

        return patched;
      }

      // wc-single-product.js is loaded with defer and binds inside jQuery(ready),
      // so it is usually still unbound when this ready callback fires.
      // Retry for a short while, then give up.
      $( function () {
        var tries = 0;

        ( function attempt() {
          if ( et_rescope_wc_tabs_delegation() || ++tries > 40 ) {
            return;
          }
          window.setTimeout( attempt, 50 );
        } )();
      } );

      $( window ).on( 'load', et_rescope_wc_tabs_delegation );
    } )( jQuery );
    JS;

      wp_add_inline_script( $handle, $js );
