Hi, After the latest updates from your topic, I have a huge problem with speeds on the shopbuy.gr domain, when I go to Google’s pagespeed.

I’m sending you the measurements. (google_desktop_xstore.jpg,google_mobile_xstore.jpg)

On the same server, with the same plugin, a faithful copy of shopbuy.gr on staging.shopbuy.gr, with another issue: a huge difference in speed. (google_mobile01.jpg, google_desktop01.jpg)

Before the latest April updates the results were for mobile 62%, desktop 93% and best practices 95-100%.

I can’t figure out what has happened.

    Can you help?

    Hello @sampanis,

Following our initial analysis, we noticed that your staging and live websites are using different active themes (live store XStore while staging one uses Woodmart theme), which may cause discrepancies in your test results due to content layout and sources loaded. On your live website, the content is built using our theme, and the widgets configurations differ from those on your staging website. For example, your live homepage contains approximately 150 slides across all sliders, while the staging site has only about 60 slides. This difference directly affects the page loading time.

Example: https://gyazo.com/724860df5e5e3b07a2a56247b10b7336 – 25 slide items on the live website, while a similar widget on the staging site has only 4 items (https://gyazo.com/56ce4e1f7c91c015a442a97ae28b8e57).

The content elements on your staging and live homepages are not identical, so some widgets on the live site load heavier resources and require more time to load, whereas the staging site uses either light configured settings or simpler banners that only load CSS.

Regarding our updates, we have not made any crucial changes in the latest releases that could affect your website’s loading speed. You can review the details in our changelog: https://xstore.8theme.com/update-history/.

To compare the changes, you may upload the previous version of our theme to your staging2 website (after properly duplicating the live website content on a second staging environment or creating a new one).

    Best regards,
    Jack Richardson
