We’re ready to launch an e-commerce site, but we’ve noticed that, generally speaking, the loading speed—both for the theme and for the wp-admin dashboard—is quite slow. I’d like you to look into this and see if it’s a configuration issue, a server issue, or a problem with the theme itself.

    Hello, Lantalau,
We have noticed that your website is utilizing a large number of plugins. This could potentially impact the website’s performance, lead to errors, and affect its overall speed. To ensure optimal functionality and avoid such issues, we kindly ask you to manually review each plugin currently in use on your website.

If the problem persists, we suggest switching to the Parent theme if you are currently using the Child Theme on your site. After clearing the cache, check again.
Do the same test for the default WooCommerce theme – Storefront. The issue may be due to your custom code in the Child Theme.

    Let us know the results.

    Best regards,
    8Theme’s Team

    Hi,

We have created the project from scratch on a new subdomain. We installed the products, categories, plugins, etc.

After installing the theme, that’s when we noticed that both the website and the admin panel became slower. We’ve checked, and the server team tells us it’s consuming around 72% of the RAM.

We’re not sure if you could take a look in case there’s something else configured in the theme.

On the public-facing side, we’ve managed to improve performance by installing Redis and WP Rocket, but we still notice some small slowdowns in the admin and during the initial cache loading.

The plugins have been reviewed and everything seems to be correct.

Thank you very much in advance.

    Hello @Lantalau,

Could you please provide us with the correct login URL and valid credentials? We are currently unable to access your website.

    Hello @Lantalau,

After reviewing the issues on your website, we have identified the following possible improvements:

    1. Please optimize your images using available tools. Currently, there are three images at the top of the page, each approximately 1.5 MB in size (https://prnt.sc/apAjBIlnhqWS), which delays the loading of subsequent content.

    2. If you encounter any 302 errors for images or other assets using browser dev tools, please investigate why such files are not loading. For example, your favicon (https://prnt.sc/jIaofb65uA0k) is delayed in loading because the file has not been uploaded. Kindly upload the correct icon in your Customizer under Site Settings (https://wordpress.com/support/site-icons/).

    3. Your homepage uses the Slider Revolution plugin with a simple slide animation. Please note that this plugin loads multiple resources to function properly. We recommend using one of our built-in Elementor widgets for sliders or carousels instead, such as:
    – Carousel Anything
    – Slides
    – XStore Slider (documentation: https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/video-tutotials/xstore-advanced-slider-with-elementor/)
If these widgets are not visible in your Elementor panel, you can enable them in the Elements Manager (https://elementor.com/help/element-manager/).
Then you can deactivate your Slider Revolution plugin on web-site.

    4. Across your website, some images are approximately 500 KB and are loaded in full or large size, even though smaller sizes would be sufficient (https://prnt.sc/uHqVgwZqzkFc). We recommend optimizing your images using appropriate tools such as TinyPNG (https://prnt.sc/_2AN-or13IZF) or any optimization plugins available for your website. Example: Single product page – https://gyazo.com/b5f09bd81e105e454e0beb0aacb7bd1d.

    5. We attempted to analyze your website’s resources using the Code Profiler Pro plugin, which we temporarily installed for testing purposes. However, due to server errors (https://prnt.sc/jsI4QB7wERUN), the test could not be completed. There should be error details available on your server; please review and resolve them. As FTP access was not provided, we were unable to check this from our side.

    Hi,

Thank you for your response. The feedback you have given us is accurate and we will implement it.

We are concerned about the speed in the admin area. Do you have any idea why it might be running so slow?

    Thank you in advance.

    Hello @Lantalau,

A slow WordPress dashboard is often caused by plugin conflicts, database bloat, low PHP memory limits, or slow hosting performance, particularly because the admin area cannot be cached in the same way as the front end.

Please follow these steps to identify and resolve the issue:
    – Check Site Health: Navigate to Tools > Site Health to review any warnings or recommendations (https://prnt.sc/TcCy9Ew2KInt).
    – Update Everything: Ensure that WordPress, all plugins, and your PHP version are up to date.
    – Scan for Malware: Use a security plugin such as Wordfence to confirm that your site has not been compromised.

For detailed instructions on improving dashboard loading speed, please refer to the following article:
