Hello, Engineer. I manage a business specializing in carbon fiber motorcycle accessories. While setting up our website, I encountered an issue involving chaotic search results when using a YMM (Year, Make, Model) search plugin. Currently, we are utilizing the product filters built into the XSTORE theme. Could you please provide a solution for this?

I’m not sure exactly where to share access permissions. Perhaps you could take a screenshot to help me out and show me how it’s done?

I completely fail to understand the point of your response. I have granted you authorization; please provide me with the correct instructions in return.

Hello! I’m a complete newbie to e-commerce operations, specifically regarding independent websites. I’m currently unsure which specific navigation path within WordPress allows me to manage access permissions. I have quite a few questions that I could really use your help resolving. I’d also like to share two reference images with you; they illustrate an automated “YMM” (Year, Make, Model) filter box designed for motorcycle parts. I’m not sure if you’re able to…

Hello. I have located the shared access permissions you granted me. I require your assistance. Currently, there are two key issues: First, resolving the problem with the YMM search bar; and second, I do not fully understand the correlation between product categories and the associated numerical values. This understanding is the critical key to successfully listing products moving forward. If possible, please outline your proposed solution and the specific steps involved. This would be of immense help to me. Note: I have attached images of the benchmark store for your reference.

Hello—why did you delete the header navigation I had already built after I granted you access? Did you not understand what I was asking for? Your actions have only caused me more trouble. Your service is absolutely terrible.

Hello. Yesterday, I noticed that the image navigator feature I provide had disappeared. I have since restored it. May I ask—after visiting my website yesterday—what issues were you able to help resolve? Did you manage to help alleviate the difficulties I described?

I would like to clarify a specific point: does XSTORE currently offer a product filtering feature? I have tested it, and it appears that your theme template is unable to retrieve product data (such as brand, model, and year). I am providing you with a reference—a search plugin found in a competitor’s store—and I request that you analyze it to identify the underlying issue and provide me with a solution or actionable guidance.

    Hello, Jimmy Yip,

To display this functionality, you need to use the Product Filter element and select the appropriate fields. Please note that the “Year” and “Model” fields should be set as product attributes, after which you can enable filtering based on them.

    Best regards,

Hello. Figure 1 illustrates the results I currently obtain when using your product’s filters; however, this does not represent the parallel filtering behavior I require. Instead, I need a hierarchical, interconnected filtering system—as depicted in Figure 2. Does this clarify the specific issue I am trying to resolve? The system must function as follows: once a user selects a specific brand in the first filter field on the user interface, the second search box should automatically establish a parent-child hierarchical link to display the specific models and styles associated with that selected brand. Subsequently, once a selection is made in the second search box, the third search box should naturally link to the corresponding production years for that specific model, maintaining the same parent-child hierarchical relationship. Is this explanation clear enough for you to understand?

    Hello, Jimmy Yip,

Unfortunately, our filter does not have such functionality, and implementing it would require additional customization that goes beyond the scope of our support. You may use our customization service or submit a request to include this feature in a future roadmap of the panel.

    Best regards,
    8Theme Team
