    Hi Team,

I have added Filter By Products Brands in the shop sidebar, but it does not get displayed on the shop page of my site.

    1. The brands are tagged to the products in WooCommerce.
    2. Brands are listed under products > Brands as well
    3. When I click on view on any one of the brands, it is taking me to the shop page and filtering the products related to the brand correctly

However, when I add this to the Shopside bar, it does not come up.
Please can you look into this and let me know if I am doing something wrong or if there is some other setting I am missng.

    Thanks & Regards

    Hello, Eslyn Dsouza,

We have resolved this issue. Please check the changes made in the file:

    wp-content/plugins/et-core-plugin/app/models/widgets/brands-filter.php

    Best regards,

    Hi Andrew,

Thank you for your response and action. However, I do see that the Filter By Product Brand is picking up the Xstore Brands instead of the Product Brands. Could you kindly help assign the product bands to this option?

I am doing an automatic import of products, and product brands get created as soon as I import the product. If I use the Xstore brands i would have to create them manually and then assign each brand to a product.

Also, each department has specific brands, so if I select a department in the filter, I should only have visibility over the brands that pertain to that department.

    Thanks & Regards,
    Eslyn Dsouza

Also, please note that the “All Departments” Menu with the product categories is not getting saved. I bring in all the product categories to the department menu, save it, and go to the site. I don’t see the drop-down on the home page showing it. So I go back in to check the menu, and it is blank; it seems like the menu is not saving the changes. I assume that this could be part of the same issue with the brands as well.

Unfortunately, the brand filter works only with its own brands, and there is no way to make it display other brands.

Regarding the menu, please clear the cache after making any changes, as the menu is cached each time.

Could you elaborate on this pls.
“Unfortunately, the brand filter works only with its own brands, and there is no way to make it display other brands.”

Does this mean that the theme has no functionality to filter with the brands tagged to the products in WooCommerce(Products Brands), and I have to add Xstore Brands for it to display? There are two Options Brand List and Filter By Products Brands. Isn’t the first for the Xstore Brands and the second for the Product Brands listed under products.

Even if I add the Xstore Brands, when I click on an Xstore brand, it does not filter using that Xstore brand on the shop page.

    And for this
“Regarding the menu, please clear the cache after making any changes, as the menu is cached each time.”

I did clear the cache after saving the menu, and I still don’t have the departments list down on the Home page. When I come back to the Menu to check, nothing is saved.

    Thanks & Regards,

    Hello Eslyn,

Thank you for your message and for providing detailed information.

Regarding the brand filter, please note that the “Filter by Brand” widget works only with the XStore Brands created via the XStore plugin. It does not support filtering by the default WooCommerce Product Brands or other third-party brand taxonomies. Therefore, to use the brand filter functionality, you would need to create and assign XStore Brands to your products. The “Brand List” option displays the list of XStore Brands, while the “Filter by Product Brands” option is intended for filtering products by those same XStore Brands.

If you have already added XStore Brands and the filter is not working as expected, please ensure that the products are correctly assigned to the corresponding XStore Brands and that the widget is configured properly in the sidebar or filter area. If the issue persists, kindly provide us with temporary admin access in a private message so we can check the configuration directly.

Regarding the menu issue, if the changes are not being saved even after clearing the cache, please try the following steps:
    1. Deactivate any third-party cache or optimization plugins temporarily.
    2. Save the menu again and check if the changes are retained.
    3. Ensure that your server PHP settings (such as max_input_vars) are sufficient to handle the number of menu items.

If the problem continues, please share temporary admin access so we can investigate the issue further.

    Best Regards,
    8Theme’s Team
