For as long as I can remember, there has been a problem with adding descriptions to categories. When I create a new category and then try to add a description in its fields, the text does not appear. Sometimes I have to try many times, clear the cache, and it still does not help. After some time, however, the changes finally save and the category description appears.

Today I encountered an additional issue. I created a new category and, besides the problem with adding the description text, the products displayed in that category appear extremely large on the desktop version of the site (XXL size product images). On mobile devices everything looks normal, but in the desktop browser the product images are huge. In other categories everything displays correctly — the problem occurs only in this new category.

I would appreciate urgent assistance and an explanation of why the category description sometimes saves correctly and sometimes does not. I would also like to know what the proper way is to add and save category descriptions so that this issue does not occur.
    Thank you
    Peter

    Hello, Pites,

We have made some changes, everything looks good now. Also, we ask you after any changes to the site, whether in the product description or in the category, please honor the same as the server and CDN if there is one.

Thank you for the update. I would like to mention that I clear the cache every time after making changes to the website (both server and browser cache), but unfortunately it did not help much in most cases. The issue with saving category descriptions still occurred and sometimes it took many attempts before the text finally appeared.
Unfortunately, nothing has changed. Below is a screenshot from Chrome Incognito showing the problem. Could you please check again what might be causing this?

Additionally, I tried three times to apply the 5 fixes in the XStore Patcher. Unfortunately, after refreshing the page they appear again as available updates, so it seems they are not being installed.

    Hello, Pites,

As we can see, your issue occurs only for users who are not logged in, which means it is entirely related to caching. Unfortunately, a simple cache purge does not resolve the problem. However, disabling the LiteSpeed Cache plugin fixes the issue for non-logged-in users. It seems that the “Purge Cache” option in the LiteSpeed Cache plugin is not functioning correctly, which is why the view for non-logged-in users does not update.

We recommend that you contact the plugin’s author or consider using an alternative caching plugin.

In my opinion it works correctly, becasue every othe changes after cache clean works and look correct. We see correct new product group on iphone, so it is not a problem with LiteSpeed Cache. Moreover it is one of the best plugin and we use it 6 years plus with no problem.

Could you please provide temporary FTP access? We will check what can be done to help you.

For FTP access, we require the following details: FTP host, FTP username, FTP password, FTP port, and FTP encryption type. If you need assistance in creating these credentials, please reach out to your hosting provider who will guide you through the process.

Please add it, but for now, do not include it in the menu so that customers cannot see it.

To do this, please add the following custom CSS in Theme Options → Custom CSS.

    li a[href="https://aromatherapyoils.pl/produkty/bestsellery-klientow/"]{
    	display: none!important;
    }

In this way, you can hide any category by simply replacing the corresponding value in the custom CSS.

    Hello, Pites,

Thank you for providing access. As we assumed, the issue was caused by the cache not being refreshed through the administrative tools. To resolve this, we renamed the cache folder on your server, after which a new cache was generated correctly.

We would also like to note that the last time the cache on your website was refreshed was back in 2025.

    Hi,
Thank you very much for your help. But when I use light speed cache, I see that it works in everything else, so what is the problem. Will it be working correct now, or should I ask provider or light speed support ?

I checked and unfortunately, the issue still persists. When I try to change the category name or add a description, after saving the changes and clearing the cache, nothing changes.
And THIS IS THE ONLY PLACE where the problem occurs.
If I change a product name, add or modify a product description, the change is visible immediately after saving. After clearing the cache using the same plugin, the change is instantly visible to store customers as well.

So clearly the issue is not related to cache clearing, because if it were, we would have the same problem everywhere. Instead, it happens only in one specific place — when creating or editing product categories.
This problem has existed in your plugin since the very beginning. Changes are saved randomly — sometimes immediately, sometimes after ten attempts, or sometimes only after logging in again to the admin panel.
The issue always occurs only in this one place.
We regularly update plugins, and product descriptions and content are modified almost daily. There has never been any issue publishing changes to products.
The only problem occurs with new product categories, and it still remains unresolved.

Now, I created the “bestsellery klienow” category again and added a description to it. Unfortunately, the category itself was published, but the description still does not appear.

I even cleared the cache everywhere, even on Hostinger server, but that didn’t help. This means the problem is not related to the server or the cache-clearing plugin, but rather to XStore.

The issue occurs only in the section related to creating new product categories.

Now after 10 minutes category description appears but still there is a problem with product look. It shoud be only product, but there is extra photo. Screen below

    Hello, Pites,

In this case, you need to access the FTP and clear the cache there, as clearing the cache from the admin panel is not functioning properly.

No, the problem is with xstore plugin not for cache plugin. I cannot and have no idea how to do this. If everything is working correct and only this part of xstore not, it means there is a problem. Clear cache plugin does not choose a part that is clearing cache and the part that does not. It clear everywhere, and where xstore plugin keep something different – we have a problem. That is what I get from Litespeed support.
If you think different, please write what should I ask Litespeed support if its not xstore fault ?

The xstore does not have additional caches for categories or store-related pages, and we can clearly see that when the site cache is cleared, the files in the cache folder remain unchanged

I forgot to add the most important information, which disproves your claim that the cache was last cleared in 2025 and that this is the reason why the issue with adding new categories occurs.
In the second half of February, I created a new category for Women’s Day:
    https://aromatherapyoils.pl/produkty/olejki-na-dzien-kobiet/
We deleted it a few days ago.
In February, the category was created correctly, and the product images were displayed properly. So your claim that this is a cache-related issue caused by the cache not being cleared since 2025 is completely incorrect and disproven.

Please find a solution to this problem on your side.

Please make sure this issue is handled by someone who actually reads what I write, because neither this problem nor the other issue with XStore Patcher has been resolved.

    Hello, Pites,

Please kindly check the attached screenshots once again. They clearly show the last time the cache files were modified. Since the issue disappears after disabling the caching plugin, it indicates that this plugin is the cause of the problem.

Additionally, we have noticed that the access credentials provided to you for the admin panel and FTP are no longer valid.

    Dear,
Sorry, but I think, you not understand what I wrote, so I’ll write it again.
If at the end of February 2026 I created a new category in Xstore and everything worked and displayed correctly, then how is it possible — a miracle? — if you claim that the reason the new category is displaying incorrectly is that the cache did not clear in 2026, but was last cleared in 2025.
Do you not see the contradiction and the lack of connection with this problem?
    So the problem is different.
Below are the current passwords for you.

    Dear,

The issue is that at the moment the cache on the server is not being refreshed because your clients are sending an incorrect category format. In the first video, you can see that until the cache is manually cleared on the server, it is not updated for non-logged-in users. Only after the old cache folder was deleted, a new one was created (you can verify this by comparing the update dates in the video).

In the second video, you can see that even the admin area is affected by caching, and the changes are not applied in the editor until the cache is cleared.

So how it was possible: If at the end of February 2026 I created a new category in Xstore and everything worked and displayed correctly, then how is it possible — a miracle? — if you claim that the reason the new category is displaying incorrectly is that the cache did not clear in 2026, but was last cleared in 2025.
    Could you tell me ?

    Hello, Pites,

If a category created in late February 2026 displayed correctly immediately after its creation, then at least one of the following must be true:

    1. That part of the site was not entirely served from outdated cache data.
The new category page may have been generated freshly at that moment, while other pages, menus, widgets, filters, or category listings were still using older cached or transient data.

    2. Different cache layers were involved.
In WordPress, caching typically consists of several layers, such as:
    • Page cache
    • Object cache / Redis / Memcached
    • Transients
    • Theme or plugin cached option data
    • CDN cache
    • Browser cache
Therefore, “last cleared in 2025” might refer to only one layer, while another layer could have refreshed automatically in February 2026.

    3. The category itself was saved correctly, but related derived data remained outdated.
    For example:
    • The taxonomy term was created correctly.
    • However, menus, product counts, AJAX filters, archive blocks, mega menu data, or imported demo structures may have been using an outdated “compiled” or cached representation of categories.

    4. Automatic partial invalidation occurred.
Creating a new category can trigger WordPress to refresh certain taxonomy data automatically, even if a manual “clear cache” action was not performed. This is a normal process of partial invalidation rather than a full cache purge.

    Hello,

Additionally, we have automatic cache clearing on the Hostinger server every 30 minutes, so theoretically the cache should be refreshed regularly and everything should work correctly.
We are also using LiteSpeed Cache, which is generally considered one of the best caching solutions available for WordPress and WooCommerce.
Therefore, if you believe that the issue may be related to cache behavior, could you please clarify what exactly should be checked or adjusted on the LiteSpeed side?
Specifically, what questions or diagnostic checks should we ask the LiteSpeed / hosting support team to verify whether the cache configuration may be causing these issues?

    Thank you for your help,
    Best regards.
