I migrated the site from my dev to a godaddy hosting and the wpbakery editor is not working, I can say i have been having troubling getting the Max input vars: up to 2000 they are not making it easy to work with them wnat to charge 100 USD to help with pho settings…a bit odd but would that cause the wpbakery pagebuilding not to work to edit pages in backend?

    thanks
    nate

    Hello, nebcreative,

Thank you for your message. We appreciate the update regarding the PHP settings. If the WPBakery editor is still not appearing on the pages and the Screen Options are inaccessible, please try the following steps:

    1. Temporarily deactivate all third-party plugins except WPBakery Page Builder and the theme’s core plugin, then check if the issue persists.
    2. Clear your browser cache and any site caching plugins.
    3. Ensure that both the theme and WPBakery Page Builder are updated to their latest versions.
    4. If the problem continues, please provide temporary admin access in a private reply so we can investigate further.

We will be happy to assist you in resolving this issue as soon as possible.

    Best Regards,
    8Theme’s Team

Thank you for providing access. As we can see, the issue is caused by enabling any of the WPBakery add-ons. You currently have two of them installed: Massive Addons for WPBakery Page Builder and Ultimate Addons for WPBakery Page Builder. When both are active, they conflict with each other, so we recommend choosing only one.

The main reason for the problem is that when either of these plugins is enabled, the corresponding scripts and styles are not being loaded from the CDN.

    Please follow these steps:
    1. Choose one of the two plugins (we recommend Ultimate Addons for WPBakery Page Builder).
    2. Activate it.
    3. Clear the CDN cache.

We have attached screenshots showing the resources that cannot be loaded from the CDN.

note: with the 2 plugins you mentioned disabled with folder name change there was no change in function of the wpbakery

    – I had to pay for that plugin but no change
    – I am attaching screenshot license in place
    – I am attaching screenshot with the “error” from the page editor saying activate “ultimate…plugin” the page kind of jitters and again can not click screen options nor is any of the components of wp-bakery visible
    – Last note if you reinstall wp-bakery and choose replace “js-composer” with same version it will let you see the editor for a moment.

But there is something going on and no idea but this site is live and has incorrect linking in some of the elements that i usually fix in 10 mins and now i am hours in and still nothing

    Hello, nebcreative,

It is possible that your provider has automatically enabled it for you, or it may be related to the actual server. Please contact your hosting provider for clarification.

Also i just got off the phone with hosting support for godaddy, there hosting does not use a CDN nor any Amazon services so that is to do with either wpbakery or something in wordpress

    Hello, nebcreative,

It seems that your website is loading from a different source, as any changes we make to the files on the server are not being reflected. We have also noticed that when switching the theme to the default Twenty Twenty-Five, the post editor becomes completely inaccessible and redirects to an external website. It appears that this site might be a copy of another website that uses some of its resources.

the links and a handful of images are referenced to the dev site, which is why i need to edit it and get rid of said links but the code and most of the site are local, not sure what exact components u are viewing.

    Hello, nebcreative,

Please check the attached video. It shows that the Composer editor does not work even with the default theme. Kindly let us know whether the Composer editor functions correctly on your demo site. It is possible that an error occurred during the migration.

The dev site is fully functional, I actually got a little help with something in a previous ticket and it is all fully functional. I had to use the godaddy migration tool and my guess is that is what damaged the site, I still have in installed on the dev site, I usually use backup buddy to move sites but i kept getting an error when i tried to move the site using it. Is there a better method? So i can get a proper live site for the client ?

    Hello,
We recommend using the All-in-One WP Migration and Backup plugin, as it allows you to easily and quickly transfer websites.
