    Hi guys,

I am working on the product filter and for my products I work with several flavor combinations. At the moment the filter is like the picture attached. Can I have a “tick the box” style for my product filters? People want to select more than one option. And at the moment the dummy doesnt know how this works (same for me haha), so I would love to have boxes after every category so that they can see what they have selected. I cannot find the options in the theme to adjust this.

    Thanks for your help!

    Regards,
    Denise

    Hello Denis,

At the moment, this feature is not available with the Product Filters element.

We recommend creating a sidebar and using the “Filter Products by Categories” option instead:

    We hope this helps.

    Hi Samir,

    Thank you for your reply!
I prefer not to work with a sidebar anymore, I love the clean page. Any other suggestions?

    Regards,
    Denise

    Hi Samir,

Thank you for the info! I created one for my main shop page and it does what I needed :).

I also created another widget (store filters), almost the same but I want to use this for other product category pages. However, only the price is shown and I have no idea what the reason is since the settings are all the same. When I update the page “Alcoholvrij” and check it out; the full filter has been gone..

    Regards,
    Denise

    Hi,

    We appreciate your prompt response.

The matter is that WooCommerce filters can function only on default WooCommerce pages, such as the shop page or the default category page. If it is a custom page where products from a specific category are displayed, the filters will not work regardless of the theme you are using, as this behavior is defined in the WooCommerce plugin’s code. Here is an example of a product category page where the filters can operate correctly (Private Content).

    Hi Ayan,

Thank you for your follow up!
Let me check if I understood you correctly.. On the pages Alcoholvrij and Tonics & mixers, the filter isnt working.
However, when I create a products archive, it looks like the filters are shown. Should I create a products archive item for every shop category in order to use the filters?

    Denise

    Hi,

It is not necessary to create new templates for the category pages, as the template created for the Shop (archive products) page can be applied https://prnt.sc/q3mytpiJepbW . To open a category page, you can click, for example, here -https://gyazo.com/25643c92ab183c3dd54d61055f300e4c

    Hi Ayan,

I will check this tonight when I start working on the website again. I also found out that I need the filter only for a few pages, not all of them. So I think Ill be all right, but please dont close this tikcet yet 🙂
