    Hello Support Team,

I’m experiencing performance issues on my WordPress site and the website feels slow on the shop page, contact page, and on product/category pages. I currently have around 1,400 products and my hosting plan is “Hosting eCommerce SSD” (Please see the attached screenshots). I recently subscribed to WP Rocket because it was recommended, but the performance issue still persists.

Could you please confirm the recommended PHP version for XStore/WooCommerce and advise what I should adjust to improve loading speed on these pages?

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

    Best regards

    Hello Support Team,

    Thank you for contacting us.

The recommended PHP version for XStore and WooCommerce is PHP 8.1 or higher, and as you are currently using the 8.2.x it is good. We also recommend ensuring that your WordPress installation, theme, and all plugins are updated to their latest versions. To enhance the loading speed of your shop, contact, and product/category pages, please consider the following steps:

    1. Enable and properly configure caching with WP Rocket (including browser caching, file optimization, and lazy loading).
    2. Optimize your images using a plugin such as Smush, Imagify or any other.
    3. Disable any unnecessary plugins that may affect performance.
    4. Use a Content Delivery Network (CDN) to improve global loading times.

Additionally, after testing your website’s speed from a customer’s perspective, it appears to be performing well. Could you please clarify if there are specific pages or areas where you have noticed slower performance? Kindly provide additional details with your request, as we currently do not observe any significant speed issues on your website.

    Best regards,

    Hello Jack,

Thank you for your quick reply and for the recommendations. The website’s performance has improved after I enabled the PHP OPcache extension in cPanel.

Everything seems to be working well now.

    Best regards,
