Unable to remove items after adding to cart

    I am not able to remove items after i add it to the shopping cart. I

    1/ To assist you more effectively, we kindly request that you record a video demonstrating the issue and the steps leading to it. This will help us better understand and replicate the problem on our end.
    Upload the video on a filesharing service, for example – https://fex.net/ , and provide us with the URL.

    2/ We recommend that you disable all third-party plugins that are not included with XStore (https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/plugins/included-plugins/). After doing so, please clear your browser’s cache and check again. It is possible that one of these additional plugins is causing the issue.

    3/ If the problem persists, we suggest switching to the Parent theme if you are currently using the Child Theme on your site. After clearing the cache, check again.
    The issue may be due to your custom code in the Child Theme.

    Let us know the results.

    Hi,

    1/ We have activated the following option: https://prnt.sc/evEL9OSVvYcY to fix the sidebar display issue on most of your pages (home, cart, etc.).

    2/ There is a plugin called web-to-print-online-designer (slug), with the name Cmsmart. It seems to be causing errors on product pages.

    3/ We also noticed an error: https://prnt.sc/fuypgUk-qYhy — this indicates that the wp-config file needs to be corrected (it currently shows “localhost” instead of the proper URL). This may also affect the add-to-cart functionality. Please check this with your hosting provider and fix it.

    Additionally, please update the theme and Core plugin to the latest versions – https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/theme-installation/theme-update/ https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/plugins/plugins-update/

    #2 For CMSMart, I notice if I switch to Parent theme, the settings disappear. If I switch to Child theme, the settings res-appear. The problem happens with the child theme but I also cant switch back to Parent theme. Can you tell me how to remove items from cart without switching back to Parent theme?

    I have told my host on the #3 issue.

    Will updating help remove the items from cart?

    Hello @rayee,

    Please note that the issue may not originate from the parent or child theme, but rather from certain plugins, settings you have configured or customizations in child-theme. Have you made any customizations in your child theme that might have caused this issue? Since your website is live, we do not recommend switching between themes or disabling plugins. However, if you grant us permission, we can proceed with the necessary testing.

    The issue with removing items is not related to hosting or other reasons but is because of the JS errors from some code.

    I think I might have make changes to the child theme but it was done via you. I cannot remember as this template is so long back. If you test, will you just be testing and making ti back to the original after testing?

    We have not made any changes related to switching themes on your website.     Hi

    Basically, if i switch to the parent theme, i still cannot remove the items from the cart.
    If i switch to a default theme, i can.

    Your theme is the issue. Can you please tell how to fix this bug instead of going around in circles?

    I checked with the CMSMART developer in regards to what you say about their plugin affecting the abitlity to remove items from cart. Its not their side but its your theme issue

Could you please send us FTP access details in a private message, along with your permission to update the theme to the latest version? We suspect that some customizations may have been made directly in the theme files, or that the issue might be related to WordPress itself. After updating to the latest version (which we will assist you with), we will proceed to review and resolve the main issue.

    Additionally, could you please let us know what actions you performed before the issue appeared? For example, did you install or update any plugins, change your hosting, or modify any code in your child theme? This information will help us identify the possible source of the problem.

    We also checked the version of your XStore theme on the website, and it appears to be updated to the latest version. Have you recently updated it and resolved the server-side errors?

    If the issue persists, please describe it in detail or attach a video demonstrating the problem so that we can attempt to reproduce it on our side and provide an appropriate solution.

    We have noticed that Cloudflare is activated on your website and found similar issues about 403 errors reported by other customers on their support forum: https://community.cloudflare.com/t/failed-to-load-resource-the-server-responded-with-a-status-of-403/754331. On your website, when attempting to remove a product from the cart page using the Safari browser, the following error appears: https://prnt.sc/75WQcp_67LA1. You may follow the recommendations provided in the linked support topic, submit a request to Cloudflare support, or temporarily disable the CDN and Cloudflare functionality to check whether the issue is resolved.

    Additionally, we have verified that this issue occurs only in the Safari browser, while it works correctly in others. For testing purposes, we also temporarily replaced the cart page content with the default WooCommerce shortcode [woocommerce_cart] (https://prnt.sc/KPcroQGAclKk), and the issue still appeared in Safari with the default shortcode, that means the issue is not related to the widgets provided by our theme.

    If the previously suggested solutions do not resolve the issue, we recommend creating a test cart page containing only the default shortcode and setting this page as the Cart page in the WooCommerce settings (https://prnt.sc/jGPOqz-5hyVb). Then, activate the Storefront theme and disable the XStore Core plugin for testing purposes. After that, please check whether the issue on your cart page persists in the mentioned browser.

    If i were to deactive the theme and activate a default theme i can remove items from cart, howrver activating your theme make the error persisnin safari

    Could you please temporarily disable Cloudflare while keeping our theme active and check whether the issue is resolved? Please note that Cloudflare caching may not affect its caching setting when you temporarily switch your website’s theme.

    Have you also contacted Cloudflare support to verify if there might be a configuration issue on their side?

    Additionally, we noticed that the wp-admin access to your website has been modified. Could you please restore our access so that we can continue investigating the issue and reviewing the configuration in your dashboard?

    I don’t know what you did but im still facing the same issues. I cleared history, used different browsers, use different computers in different location, use my mobile device and I still cannot clear the shopping cart

    We have also tested the issue on different devices and carefully reproduced the steps you followed. Please check the video at the following link: https://fex.net/s/srzsonx.

    It appears that the issue may occur on your size if multiple clicks are made on the remove icon instead of a single click. We kindly suggest asking someone else to assist you and test the process on their device, as it is possible that the same actions are being repeated in specific steps. This approach would be more effective with asking someone to purchase a product and then attempt to remove it from the cart using their device.

    Also, could you please, share the versions of Safari browser you tested? We made a test on v.17.6 and v18.2 with no issues.
