    Dear 8theme team,
I hope you are doing well.

I wanted to request your assistance regarding my WordPress dashboard settings. I am the owner of the company, and I am giving access to one of my managers so he can make some basic interface updates and image adjustments on the website.

However, I do not want him to see which WordPress theme I am using. For this reason, I would like you to please hide or restrict access to any areas where the theme name or theme settings may appear, especially:

    Appearance → Themes

    Theme Editor

    Theme Options

Plugins area (if the theme name appears there)

Please set his user role so that he only has access to the options required for editing content and making simple layout changes — nothing more.

Thank you for your help and support.

    Best regards,

    Dear @DashDoor,

We appreciate your idea and would like to recommend that you first try our free built-in plugin, which allows you to modify the main areas of the WordPress dashboard with custom text that can be manually configured to suit your company’s needs.

Please refer to the documentation here: https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/plugins/white-label-branding-plugin/.

These options are lightweight and easy to configure, so you can adjust them according to your preferences.

Also, we suggest you to check the official WordPress article about the user roles and their capabilities, so you can choose the prefered one and set it for your manager: https://wordpress.org/documentation/article/roles-and-capabilities/

If you require further assistance, please share your feedback and detailed request. We will be happy to help you as needed.

    Best regards,
    Jack Richardson

    Dear 8Theme Support

Thank you for your quick response and for sharing the details about the White Label Branding plugin. It is installed already.

I have reviewed the other plugin, but it appears to be a paid option. At this time, I am looking for a free solution or any built-in settings that can help me hide the theme name and the Appearance section from a specific user role. My goal is simply to restrict my manager from seeing theme information, while still allowing him to make basic interface and image adjustments.

Your team has always supported me with every concern I have had regarding my website, and I truly appreciate your consistent help and efforts. You have never refused any request, and your assistance means a lot to me.

Please let me know if you can make this amendment on my website through a free method to achieve the same result.
Thank you once again for your continued support.

    Best regards,

    Hello @DashDoor,

Have you checked the settings of our White Label Branding plugin? We believe it would be suitable for your needs. Please refer to the private content for a few examples. The main advantage of our plugin is that you can configure its settings and then remove the plugin entirely, while the configured settings will remain active and visible in your dashboard.

As this type of customization is beyond the scope of our basic support, we can provide you with suggestions and recommendations. You may consider exploring the following plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/user-role-editor/, which allows you to modify user role access. This way, you can create a custom role, such as “Shop Manager,” for your customer and limit the access they have.

    Best regards,
    Jack Richardson
