    Hi,

I noticed the other day that if I attempt to proceed with checkout via Amazon Pay and then hit the back button to return to the cart, the checkout page is greyed out and one must refresh the screen to either proceed again with Amazon Pay or select an alternate payment method, so I turned Amazon Pay off.

Today I realized two things. One, now that I have Paypal back on, variant dropdowns are distorted again as shown in the labeled attachments. This happened once before but I had turned Paypal off and switched to Amazon Pay and noticed that the distortion disappeared.

When I became aware of the greyed out issue, I turned Amazon Pay back off and turned Paypal back on, but discovered the distorted product dropdowns are back, but only in certain instances as seen in the labeled attachments.

I think it has something to do with the dynamic: “As low as with Paypal Learn More” logo area, directly beneath the Add to wishlist circled in red.

The second thing I realize is that if you click Add to cart (on Android Mobile or iphone) and then hit the back button to return to the product page, the add to cart button just buffers forever as demonstrated here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Yayfhk7J0otaz2ag2msSqYTYheYG8Swk/view?usp=sharing

Checkout issue on cart page described here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Exx-PSpuk6VOE4tIe_8cpkadPAnoeBnu/view?usp=drive_link

This buffering issue as shown on the product page is not happening on desktop, but the greyed out issue described with Amazon Pay is happening on both mobile and desktop. Please help me correct this.

For purposes of troubleshooting, both Amazon Pay and Paypal are currently on.

    Regards,

    Kingsley

    Hello @Kingsley H.,

Do you have a staging website available for testing purposes? This would allow us to review the issues you mentioned using the default theme, as we believe some of them could be reproduced even with the default theme, such as Storefront.

    Hi,

Sorry for the typos, was very late. I have corrected them. I don’t believe we have one after the site went live. You are welcome to login if you like.

    Warm Regards,

    Hello @Kingsley H.,

Could you please ask your hosting provider to check whether a staging website is available? We would like to perform some tests, and if we do them on your live website, your customers might temporarily see some changes during the testing process.

If you are comfortable with us conducting the tests on your live website, we will proceed accordingly. Otherwise, please provide the staging URL and login credentials so that we can carry out the tests there.

    Hello,

I am waiting for a response regarding the staging site but in the mean time I have been doing more testing and would like to add that not only does the issue appear NOT to be happening on desktop, but the paypal branding area is presented differently based on one being logged in or logged out, as shown in the following labeled attachments.

    Hello @Kingsley H.,

As we previously mentioned it would be good to have a staging website for such testing purposes. Please note that we are responsible only for providing support for our products, while the PayPal functionality is managed by other plugins. Therefore, the issue might also occur with a different theme, including the default one such as Storefront.

Additionally, if you have a caching plugin installed on your website, it could be contributing to the issue. For testing purposes, you may temporarily disable it, even on your live website, to check whether the problem persists.

    Hello @Kingsley H.,

Could you please check the mentioned issue on the staging website you created for testing? Additionally, we kindly ask you to provide temporary access (in private content) to your staging website so that we can review the issue from our side.

    Hi,

Creds provided in private. Also, I can confirm all scenarios/issues are consistent on staging site.

    – Buffering add to cart button when you hit back after adding item to cart.

    – Greyed out cart page after you hit back button after proceeding to Amazon, forced to refresh screen to select another option or proceed again with Amazon, not greyed out after hitting back button after proceeding with PayPal.

    Screenshots attached.

    Warm Regards,

    Kingsley

    Hello @Kingsley H.,

Thank you for providing us with the correct access to your staging website. We have temporarily disabled the WP Rocket plugin and noticed that the issue in incognito browser tab related to the PayPal description on the single product page has been resolved (see: https://prnt.sc/6im9DzfiwpPT). This indicates that the issue occurs only when the WP Rocket plugin is active.

To resolve this matter, we recommend contacting the WP Rocket support team, as we provide support only for our own products. The WP Rocket plugin is developed and maintained by a separate team with its own dedicated support.

Additionally, we did not observe any issues with the “Cart totals” section overlapping after deactivating the WP Rocket plugin. We kindly ask you to review this issue on your side as well.

    Hi,

I was just filming a screen-recording to show the difference between the regular site with WP Rocket on and the staging site with WP Rocket off and how some of the issues were still present, such as the cart issue, when all of a sudden the screen changed. I now see that WP Rocket is off on the regular site as well which is causing other issues, as they had made accommodations for some of the issues it caused and apparently I just needed to have them make accommodations for these other issues I have told you about as well. I thought the staging site operated independently? How did the plugin also deactivate on the regular site? Uploading videos momentarily.

Here is some of the video I filmed before the WP Rocket deactivation randomly occurred on the regular site as mentioned in my prior message directly above and also video of the issue still occurring post WP Rocket deactivation on the staging site. You can see how the product page functioned before and after as well as the change in layout. These two videos demonstrate the two (primary) original issues, buffering “Add to cart” button and greyed out cart page. Both issues appear to trigger when pressing the back button.

    Hello @Kingsley H.,

We recommend that you contact your hosting provider regarding the combination of your staging and live websites. This configuration was created on their side and appears to be linked with the plugins and other modifications applied to both websites, which is not ideal for testing purposes. Please reach out to them and ask them to review this setup.

Thank you for sharing the testing videos. However, we still need to perform a theme switch without causing any issues on your live website. Therefore, we kindly ask you to first resolve the issue related to separating the websites, as they currently appear to be connected and changes are being applied to both simultaneously.

    Hello @Kingsley H.,

Thank you for clarifying that your two websites are separate. Could you please confirm whether you have tested if the issue persists when WP Rocket is deactivated on your staging website? As we previously suggested and confirmed, most of the issues did not appear on your staging website when this plugin was inactive.

    Hi Jack,

Thank you for your reply. I have not messed with any of the settings since then for fear of breaking something. Just tested and the eternal buffering on the cart page that occurs after clicking the back button after attempting to proceed with Amazon seems to now be somehow relegated to a mobile only issue. Cant recreate it on desktop anymore but still persists on mobile.

Add to cart button buffering after hitting back button from cart page seems to be gone on both desktop and mobile, somehow. Product option fields distortion seems to be intermittent for whatever reason, looked fine one moment and after I hit back it became distorted again, both on mobile and desktop. Really want you guys to continue testing.

    Best Kingsley

    Hello @Kingsley H.,

Could you please clarify the existing issues with screenshots or videos? From your message, it seems that some parts may already be fixed, while others still have issues. Providing visual references would be very helpful for us as developers to better understand the problems you would like us to check.

We apologize for the inconvenience, but as we have many customers requiring our attention, it is much more efficient for us to review a short video to quickly grasp the issue and begin implementing the necessary fixes, rather than going through the entire conversation.

Thank you for your time and cooperation.

    Hello @Kingsley H.

Our theme is fully optimized for performance and does not slow down websites by default. In most cases, speed issues are related to additional content or setup, such as:

    • Excess plugins
    • Large, unoptimized images
    • Heavy third-party scripts or resources

    To improve performance, please consider:

    – Removing unused plugins
    – Optimizing images (WebP format recommended)
    – Using a performance plugin (e.g., WP Rocket, LiteSpeed Cache)

Here is our step-by-step performance guide:
