    I do have a few simple menus , e.g. contact_us

And a few menus that hovering over them open a static mega menu (as per 8theme video instructions). The mega menus open shop page for different brands. e.g. RayBan link is set to
    ?brand=ray-ban

When the site is loaded and in the root, by hovering over sunglasses mega menu, and selecting RayBan it opens localhost/brand/ray-ban/ and loads the shopping page with rayban items.

But when we first click on contact_us then hoever over sunglasses mega menu and select RayBan, it is looks for localhost/contact_us/?brand=ray-ban and give a 404.

Note: I’ve currently set the link in menu items of mega menu like

    ?brand=ray-ban

    Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to us. Your request is interesting, and we would like to investigate the situation in more detail before providing any recommendations.

Could you please let us know if you have a live online version of your website where we could log in and check the settings? If this option is not possible for you, please record a step-by-step video showing how to set up exactly the same menu as on your site, so that we can reproduce it on our test website and compare how everything works there.

Upload the video on a filesharing service, for example – https://fex.net/ , and provide us with the URL.

Thank you for your cooperation and we look forward to hearing from you soon.

    Best regards,
    8Theme’s Team

    Thank you for your response,
I fixed the issue by starting from putting the relative address, from the wordpress root path, starting with slash. .e.g. /wordpress/brand/abc/?product_type=xyz

All paths are now full paths.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your response.
We are glad to hear that you have resolved the issue by using the relative address from the WordPress root path, starting with a slash.

    Best Regards,
